Creative Connection - Albright-Knox Art Gallery

A museum-based experiential art education program for groups of individuals with cognitive impairments or other special needs. Uses guided tours, hands-on art workshops, and discussions specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of each participating group. Focuses on providing opportunities for recreation and socialization, self-expression, and increasing sensory awareness.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM | VICTIMS INFORMATION BUREAU OF SUFFOLK

Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.
