Specializes in helping children with severe language and autism spectrum disorders. Provides a multi-faceted approach to therapeutic recreational activities for children. Programs include individual and group sessions, off site trips, on-site special events, adapted aquatics, horseback riding, wheelchair sports, pet therapy, music therapy, arts and crafts projects, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and wheelchair dancing. These programs help children cope with their illness or disability while reinforcing their individual goals while having fun.

Traditional talk and creative arts therapies, and equine-assisted therapies, with NYS licensed professional therapists at Topfield Equestrian Center. We serve individuals and families looking for a wide-range of mental health support. Our therapy sessions, like our other services, are available to everyone, regardless of disability status. Therapy sessions at Topfield can take place in our private and well-appointed therapy or art/education rooms, or if you prefer, while sitting or walking outside on the Center grounds. We also offer telehealth therapy as needed.

Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.

A museum-based experiential art education program for groups of individuals with cognitive impairments or other special needs. Uses guided tours, hands-on art workshops, and discussions specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of each participating group. Focuses on providing opportunities for recreation and socialization, self-expression, and increasing sensory awareness.

Provides in-person or virtual therapy and counseling services for children, families, couples, individuals, and groups. Offers in-home therapy services in certain circumstances.

Rockland Conservatory provides Individual Lessons, Audio Engineering, Youth Chorus, and Creative Aging Initiative. Also, Main Street Singers chorus, Songwriting Workshop, Music Therapy: Individual sessions and groups for physically and mentally challenged children, teen & adults in collaboration with Music For Life Creative Arts, Therapeutic choirs: Teens on the Autism Spectrum, All Tuned In, for seniors in partnership with Meals on Wheels. Performances: Concerts by students & faculty for under-served community residents in nursing homes and at non-profit events, Overtures concert Series, providing free professional world-class music performances on our own stage or virtually.

The ADRC’s Art Therapy Programs are led by professional art therapists. They introduce projects appropriate for people with Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairments, using a hands-on approach.

Provides a therapy program using creative art therapies in many forms and styles to nurture an individual's emotional, physical, sensory and cognitive development. Each person is assessed and placed in an art therapy program (individual, group, dyad, family). The program focuses on children and adults with developmental or emotional disabilities, struggling with sensory, cognitive, speech/language delays, etc.

Offers veterans, including those with PTSD, support meetings, networking opportunities, creativity and job preparation workshops and social activity experience to promote a healthy transition back to civilian life. A particular focus is placed upon helping veterans showcase their talent and share their experiences through the arts, art shows, photography, music, dance and theatrical events.

Provides activities and socialization for people with moderate Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, which combines art, music, pet therapies, computer multimedia presentations, outings to places of cultural, historical and social interest, and other recreational activities. Program for visitors with dementia and their care partners at Albright-Knox Northland. Provides the opportunity to take part in discussions in the gallery based on selected works from special exhibitions, followed by a hands-on artmaking experience in the classrooms.

State-of-the-art facility geared to specialized pediatric medicine and surgery. This is also a teaching facility to train future healthcare providers in pediatric care.
