BARK-9 therapy dog program promotes reading skills and encourages children who may be reluctant readers. Outside programming available. Will come to agency.

Offers multiple canine-assisted activities, utilizing certified therapy dogs who engage with participants in one-on-one experiences including elements found in canine sports. Participants include a large variety of individuals and groups of children and adults with and without special needs.

Provides an environment of support which allows individuals with emotional, physical and social disabilities to expand their boundaries.

Through an on-site nature center with plants and animals, it provides an opportunity for adults and children with Cerebral Palsy or developmental disabilities to explore their environment. The center has a variety of plants, dogs, turtles and snakes which provides a unique experience to teach individuals about nature. This therapeutic tool has been beneficial in increasing attention and concentration, enhancing relaxation, building self-esteem, teaching responsibility from caring for the animals, and understanding nature and the diversity of life.

Animal Assisted Visitation Program.

Provides comprehensive services to assist individuals in restoring movement, promoting healing, relieving pain, and adapting to physical changes. Services provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis and include physical, occupational, and recreational therapy, speech language pathology, and rehabilitation counselors.

A program which focuses on the interaction between animals and humans. Components of the program include experiencing the responsibility of brushing, washing and feeding dogs, cats, rabbits and birds. Since animals are non-judgemental, individuals with disabilities can interact comfortably with them without feeling different. All animals are evaluated and certified by The Delta Society.
