Offers a socialization and recovery program to Nassau County residents with severe mental illness, ages 18 and older. Provides opportunities in a "club house setting" for individuals to improve socialization skills, physical, emotional and spiritual health and decision making, reduce symptoms, maintain sobriety, and learn technology skills. RESIDENTIAL SERVICES | RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Provides 24 hour supervision at local community sites for adults with mental illness. Services provided at each site are restorative services, symptom management, community living skills, information and referral, crisis management, medication education and monitoring, and community integration. Staff provides supportive assistance and instruction in daily living skills and use of community resources. There are ten residences located in Nassau and Suffolk County. Transportation provided to local day treatment services.

Peer facilitated psychosocial club for seriously and persistently mentally ill adults focused on socialization and empowerment. Members are invited to drop in for any of the gatherings. Offerings include but are not limited to: participation in community events, games, videos and crafts in a relaxed atmosphere designed to encourage interaction and reduce isolation. Transportation assistance is available when possible.

JUNIOR SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM - MENTAL HEALTH | ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES

Provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for people who are in recovery from mental illness. The companions are placed in approximately 25 locations including adult homes, nursing homes and also private homes and spend time socializing, sharing wellness tools and providing companionship. This program not only offers volunteer opportunities but it is a pre-vocational program which offers weekly trainings and skill building activities to enhance abilities and readiness for gainful employment.
