Offers a 10-week program where police officers educate middle and high school students about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse, along with building self esteem and skills to resist peer pressure and intimidation.

Offers a variety of programs on health issues throughout the year, including ENCARE, alcohol and drugs, driving education for schools, and also specific diseases, such as diabetes, cancer screenings, etc.

The DFC program, in collaboration with the Communities That Cares (CTC) Coalitions, aims to reduce substance abuse among youth by addressing community factors that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse. The CTC Coalition includes individuals from all sectors of the community who work together to reduce risk factors and strengthen protective factors through education, enforcement, and policy initiatives. There are three forms of counseling done at the Haverstraw Center through the Reachout program: individual, family and group counseling.

• Helps young adults learn about their substance use disorder, how to deal with peer pressure, improve self esteem, and how to have fun without the use of alcohol or other drugs.

• Features individual therapy once a week, group-therapy sessions up to twice weekly, and Family Day once a month.

Offers a 4-fold program which educates and an outreach to students and their parents about alcohol/drug addiction. 1) An Eight-session Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug prevention program; 2) Individual and Group Counseling for students who may have alcohol or drug abuse issues; 3) Parent Programs to educate and promote awareness to parents, and to get them more involved in prevention; 4) Referral for students and parents who require treatment, more intensive counseling, or other services are referred to appropriate agencies or practitioners in the community.

Functions as an outpatient satellite of The Zucker Hillside Hospital. Offers several levels of treatment geared to the individual needs of adults experiencing difficulty due to their use of drugs or alcohol. DWI and court evaluations performed early intervention, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization available. Also offers evaluation, crisis intervention, referral, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual, group and family therapy, vocational evaluation, vocational counseling, activities therapy and toxicology testing.

Substance abuse prevention program for Wyoming County. Professional prevention specialists deliver evidence-based prevention programs to Wyoming County school districts and communities. Programs include responsible server training, underage gambling awareness, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs training, substance abuse prevention skills training, teen intervention, and more. Encourages partnerships between traditional and nontraditional groups in the community such as youth, schools, probation, businesses, libraries, media, youth-serving agencies, and faith-based organizations, parents, and other concerned adults. Through such partnerships, this community-based coalition provides prevention strategies that target under-age drinking, cigarette smoking, vaping, marijuana use, prescription drug abuse, and use of heroin and other drugs.
