Residents spend an average of six to nine months living in the facilities, while they attend narcotic and alcoholics anonymous meetings as well as individual and group counseling. Residents also work in the thrift store by overseeing inventory and serving as cashiers.

Horizon Health Services - Horizon Village Terrace House

A 68-bed inpatient residential medically supervised treatment facility. Provides 24-hour care to men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Typical stays are 7-14 days with possible extended stay to 28 days for co-occurring mental health or medical disorders. Supportive services offered to enrolled patients include individual, group, and family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, drug screening, education regarding addiction and disease management, health education, suboxone treatment, continued medication assisted treatment, medical evaluation and follow up as needed, self-help involvement, relapse prevention, overdose prevention education, and discharge planning. ##REENTRY##

First Step Chemical Dependency Crisis Center

A 24-bed residential facility that serves people with substance use disorders. Operating 24/7, the center has 7 medically supervised beds and 17 medically monitored beds. Under the direct supervision of nursing, medical, and counseling staff, the program offers medical and non-medical detoxification in a sober environment where people may safely begin the recovery process. Individuals served by the First Step Center are not in need of hospitalization.
