JOHN CRANFORD ADAMS PLAYHOUSE | HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY

Houses a Playhouse which is an 1105 seat, proscenium-style theater that serves the University, as well as the surrounding community, as the premier cultural venue on the Hofstra Campus. Not only the site for many of Hofstra’s finest theatrical, musical, dance, and lecture events, the venue is also, as the schedule allows, provides as a rental house for local, national, and international productions, conferences, performing arts companies, lectures, school events, and church groups. The Department of Theater Facilities is a small, dedicated staff of professionals committed to providing our University and rental clients with exceptional advice, assistance, and support to ensure that every event at the Adams Playhouse, from the simplest podium-based lecture to the most lavish of musicals, is a resounding success. Offers hands on programs in the learning center to students in first through twelfth grades. The programs focus on physical sciences and utilize the inquiry method of teaching along with exploration time with museum exhibits. EXHIBITION PROGRAM ART-TRIUM GALLERY | EXHIBITION PROGRAM ART-TRIUM GALLERY

Member artists exhibit paintings, photography, sculpture and mixed media to the corporate community. Also includes annual High Arts Showcase, featuring work by juniors and seniors of school districts participating in Council's Journey program, as well as several curated shows. Opening receptions with musical performances at all shows provide opportunities to meet exhibiting artists.

STALLER CENTER FOR THE ARTS | STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY

We produce and present outstanding and diverse professional and university sponsored performances, exhibits and educational programs in the areas of music, dance, theater, film, and fine art. Choose from dozens of reasonably-priced performances and order tickets online or by phone. You can also see top-rated movies, enjoy the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD, and hear performances by the Department of Music stars. In addition an Arts & Education Outreach program is available. All Staller Center Arts and Education Outreach programs are free of charge to the campus and community and fully supported by generous private donations to the Barbara N. Wien Fund and the Educational Outreach Endowment from individuals who value advancing the arts in young people’s lives. The Staller Center is dedicated to providing cultural arts experiences and educational opportunities to the local community and Stony Brook University students of all ages from preschool through young adult. Some Educational Outreach programs include: First on Us, Seats 4 Students, Staller Kids Series, Virtual Educational Resources and the ever-popular Instrument Petting Zoo. Provides opportunities for connection, peer support, and healthy fun outlets for those in recovery. Empowers recoverees to build community, discover inner strength, and find their recovery path. A safe and all-inclusive space for individuals to connect with peer supports through adventure and fun events. A community built by peers in recovery for peers, their families, and those within the community that choose to live healthy lives in recovery. SATURDAY CLASSES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE | HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY CONTINUING EDUCATION

Offers programs for students in grades K-12. Saturday Classes for Young People encourage and inspire your child in the pursuit of knowledge and the love of learning. Children blossom in our small classroom settings. Winter and summer programs are 6-weeks long, while spring and fall sessions run 8 weeks. Choose from many classes including; reading, math, academics, STEM/STEAM, cartooning, theater, art, video game development, Minecraft, swimming instruction and even exercise classes for parents.
