A safe and all-inclusive space for individuals to connect with peer supports through adventure and fun events. A community built by peers in recovery for peers, their families, and those within the community that choose to live healthy lives in recovery. Maintains the Wantagh Museum and engages in other activities to improve the historical and environmental values of the community. The WPS is responsible for maintaining the museum grounds that include: Old Wantagh Rail Road Station; “Jamaica” Parlor Car and Recreated 1904 Wantagh Post Office. In addition to being open on Sunday afternoons from mid-April to mid-October, the Museum hosts many special events throughout the year. Hours are subject to change, as the Museum is staffed by all volunteers. The museum grounds are open all year round from dawn until dusk. Call for detailed information.
Offers an outstanding program for adults at the Riverhead campus. CCR is a self-directed learning center for retirees. Members act together to design their own programs and contribute as presenters and discussion participants. CCR is educational and entertaining and stimulating and fun. If you are a retired person who seeks intellectual stimulation, meeting new people and active involvement, CCR is for you! As a CCR member, you are involved in a variety of activities: Presentations by members and discussions covering a wide variety of interesting topics; Member-led classes on each semester’s topics; Lectures by guest speakers; Day trips to museums, art galleries, and historic sites; Summer get-togethers at CCR member residences and Mid-term and end-of-term luncheons. Members share responsibility in curriculum planning, subject selection, and class presentations. Each year the Hofstra University Museum of Art serves the public and private schools of the Long Island region with engaging and meaningful explorations of authentic objects and art. The Museum welcomes visitors to its galleries Tuesday through Sunday during the school year. Preserves town government records, collects, catalogues, and preserves the history of the Town of Southampton. Accessible by appointment only.
Brings outstanding local and nationally known artists and their work to the college in order to enrich the experiences of students, faculty, and the surrounding communities. The galleries also serve as a venue for the exhibition of artwork done by Suffolk's students and faculty. Program also includes a referral service for home care assistance and non-emergency medical transportation. A food pantry is available to those who are eligible on Wednesdays and Fridays.

If you are unable to reach a staff member, please call back during the hours indicated. ** Offers a comprehensive year round program including participation in local youth councils and a County-wide youth council. Summer programs include youth employment, leisure time and recreational/cultural activities. Also offers a Martial Arts Program, career explorations, Martin Luther King Scholarship which is given annually to deserving students, and the Kearse Soccer Clinic. Year round individual and family counseling offered. Tutorial and homework assistance is also available as well as workshops on substance prevention, underage drinking, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS.
