Located on North Shore of Long Island Sound, one of Southold's seven existing lighthouses. Nautical museum displays a unique collection of museum owned and patron loaned lighthouse and early marine artifacts.

Preserve also offers 50 miles of hiking, horseback riding (by annual permit), cross country skiing and nature trails, as well as fly fishing (with permit). The 32 mile Long Island Greenbelt Trail passes through the preserve. A museum and gift shop are also part of the preserve. Call for further information, special events, and/or environmental programs.
