Offers a performing arts center that is home to five intimate venues; The Concert Hall, the recital hall, the Olmsted Theatre, the dance theatre and a black box theatre. Although they are primarily used by our students and faculty throughout the academic year, all of our venues are available for rent by outside organizations. Comprised of 1288 acres, this park offers a variety of facilities, events, and services including the beach off Long Island Sound, swimming, hiking trails (including the Greenbelt Trail), bicycling, picnic areas, refreshments/cafeteria, boardwalk, golf facilities (9 and 18 hole courses, putting green, driving range, clubhouse, pro-shop, golf tournaments), winter run and summer run series, cross country skiing, model airplane show, spring golf outing, and high school and college cross country running. Bicycles restricted from Boardwalk. No pets allowed year round in park.

TILLES CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS | LIU POST

Located on the LIU Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville the Center presents over 70 performances each season by world-renowned artists in music, theater and dance. Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is a prime venue for productions, performances and events. The 2,190 seat Concert Hall and 508 seat Krasnoff Theater offer wonderful sightlines and configurations for many types of events. The Concert Hall boasts a newly-installed sound system and impeccable acoustics, in addition to newly renovated seats. The Krasnoff Theater is especially prized for the intimacy and warmth for both performers and audience members. Presenting at Long Island’s premier performing arts venue on the easily accessible LIU Post campus offers many advantages for all types of renters. Discounted rental rates are available to 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations. The Tilles Center is committed to bringing the performing arts beyond the stage and into the community by welcoming learners of all ages and abilities to experience the performing arts first hand. The Tilles Center also offers Relaxed & Sensory-Friendly Programs. The Center presents relaxed performances with modified sound and light levels, specially adapted pre-performance materials, and quiet lobby areas with sensory toys for patrons who wish to move around. These performances are “non-shushing” and provide a comfortable environment for individuals on the autism spectrum and those who may have limited movement, sensory and/or complex communication needs. Relaxed performances are open to all neurodivergent and neurotypical audiences and take place throughout the season as part of our Family Fun. In addition the Center offers Creative Aging- Dance for Parkinson’s. The Tilles Dance for Parkinson’s sessions are open to any individual with Parkinson’s disease, anyone with limited mobility, and caregivers. No previous dance experience is necessary. STALLER CENTER FOR THE ARTS | STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY

Offers performances that educate, enlighten and entertain audiences across the University, greater community and region. We produce and present outstanding and diverse professional and university sponsored performances, exhibits and educational programs in the areas of music, dance, theater, film, and fine art. Choose from dozens of reasonably-priced performances and order tickets online or by phone. You can also see top-rated movies, enjoy the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD, and hear performances by the Department of Music stars. In addition an Arts & Education Outreach program is available. All Staller Center Arts and Education Outreach programs are free of charge to the campus and community and fully supported by generous private donations to the Barbara N. Wien Fund and the Educational Outreach Endowment from individuals who value advancing the arts in young people’s lives. The Staller Center is dedicated to providing cultural arts experiences and educational opportunities to the local community and Stony Brook University students of all ages from preschool through young adult.
