The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Reserarch Fund, Inc., supports both new and established researchers investigating the causes, prevention and treatment of breast cancer. Research includes studies of the genetic, molecular, cellular and environmental factors involved in the development and progression of breast cancer application of the knowledge thus gained to educate medical professionals and increase public awareness for the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer and studies of the outcomes of breast cancer detection and treatment of breast cancer and studies of the outcomes of breast cancer detection treatment on the patient, their families and society.

Mobilizes the caring power of the community to help individuals improve their lives through fundraising initiatives in order to fund health and human services programs in Schuyler County. Does not provide direct financial assistance to individuals.

Dedicated to improving the lives of those diagnosed with cancer and finding a cure for the disease.

Seeks to focus on the disease rather than ways of coping with it once diagnosed by: increasing public awareness of environmental links to the disease; gaining support for the precautionary principles as it applies to public policy; urging the public to demand more funding for environmental health research; and encouraging a better attitude toward personal lifestyle.

Through this program, private businesses, non-profits and municipal agencies are offered a unique opportunity to reduce their annual labor costs by providing employment opportunities for Rockland County youth between the ages of 14 and 18. Young people participating in the program receive life skills development, job readiness, office technology, child care, public relations and environmental maintenance training.

Our loan products include: pre-development, acquisition, construction, bridge and mini-permanent financing.

Green retail clothing boutique, open to the public, selling new and second-hand women's clothes at affordable prices.Facility for low-income women who are displaced homemakers or food stamp recipients enrolled in the retail training program to practice customer service skills and gain hands-on experience in retailing. Individualized Support services help adults with developmental disabilities to live independently in the community and includes training in life skills and creating monthly budgets. Self-Direction services empower individuals with developmental disabilities to choose their mix of supports and services, how and when services are provided, and the staff and/or organization to provide the services.

Provides financial support to Westchester-based artists and cultural organizations in several categories including: Basic Program Support, Project Support, and Arts Alive which supports communit-based arts activities and the creation of new work by artists. ArtsWestchester also provides grants to artists to conduct residencies in schools, community sites, and human service agencies. To be eligible artists must apply to and be accepted onto ArtsWestchesterâs Directory of Teaching artists.
