Through this program, private businesses, non-profits and municipal agencies are offered a unique opportunity to reduce their annual labor costs by providing employment opportunities for Rockland County youth between the ages of 14 and 18. Young people participating in the program receive life skills development, job readiness, office technology, child care, public relations and environmental maintenance training.

FIYB is a nonprofit that supports the Ithaca Youth Bureau's mission, and its recreation and youth development programs promoting health, happiness and well-being of youth and families in the greater Ithaca area. The Ithaca Youth Bureau is a city department and cannot directly allocate resources and staff to solicit private funding. With increasing youth needs and decreasing government funding, the Friends of the Ithaca Youth Bureau fills this function.

Offers any and all types of assistance to individuals and programs providing or are considering the option to provide child care in their homes or center-based child care programs. Assistance includes training to meet regulatory requirements, Mandated Reporter training, and improve program quality and on-site quality improvement projects for existing providers. Also provides start-up assistance for prospective child care providers.

Offers funding to local agencies who create programs for county youth. Also provides information about various youth issues locally and nationally.

Offers support and education to people affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders ASD. Educational and conference scholarships for people of all ages who have ASD as well as teachers, therapists and caregivers. Emergency funding is available to families with someone living with them ASD when all other funding has been exhausted.

Provides a tax-exempt organization dedicated to building basic affordable housing with volunteer labor and donated or purchased materials for deserving, low-to-moderate income Nassau County residents. Works to access resources to fund programs of not-for-profit agencies that hold true to the United Way initiatives of education, income and health.

Awards annual grants to non-profit organizations and/or individual artists to help strengthen the arts and cultural programs in their communities. Considers applicants' quality of programming, community support, and professionalism in making funding decisions, and awards grants on recommendation of a seven-member panel of local artists, community leaders, and others from throughout Suffolk County. Grants range from $500 to $5,000.

Promotes research, family support and advocacy for individuals/families affected by Huntington's Disease.
