The Greenlawn Civic Association (GCA) is a group of volunteers working together to improve the community. Founded in 1990, the GCA with town and country officials on behalf of the community to improve quality of life in the Greenlawn area. Provides individuals and families with social advocacy and support around navigating the complicated world of applying for jobs, social services programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Under grants from Suffolk County Department of Labor and United Way, will provide paid employment and job training opportunities to youth ages 16 - 20. In partnership with the Urban League, will provide paid employment and on the job training opportunities for adults who are eligible to work under Title V of the Older Americans Act
