Using the social determinants of health as a framework, there are four main program areas: Community Health Education, Food Systems, Maternal Health, and Social Supports.

Provides Reference, Information and Referral, Reader's Advisory, E-Reference and Homework Help. Programs may include Teen Advisory Group, Regents and SAT workshops, Book Buddies and Summer Reading Program.

Provides a variety of services related to the state's Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code. In close coordination with community officials, DCEA oversees the enforcement practices of local governments in matters pertaining to building construction, fire prevention and energy conservation. Division staff also provides technical and educational assistance to local jurisdictions, administers variances, and serves as secretariat to the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council.

Regulates professional boxing and wrestling contests, matches, and exhibitions within the State of New York pursuant to Title 25 of the Unconsolidated Laws. Comprised of three members appointed by the governor, in addition to a physician, a Medical Advisory Board, and staff, SAC administers licenses, enforces rules and regulations, and ensures that medical and safety standards are being met. It provides training seminars for referees, judges, and inspectors, oversees hundreds of events annually across the state, and is committed to promoting and maintaining the health, safety and integrity of its regulated athletic activities.

A non-profit community based prevention and positive youth development agency. We facilitate leadership conferences for youth, workshops for parents, educators & community groups. In addition, we are engaged in two community coalitions aimed at reducing underage drinking and substance abuse.

Mobilizes the caring power of the community to help individuals improve their lives through fundraising initiatives in order to fund health and human services programs in Schuyler County. Does not provide direct financial assistance to individuals.

Responsible for developing new ways to improve the delivery of supports and services to New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and their families. Focus is on increased opportunities for consumers to become involved in the community, secure education, employment and housing. Comprised of volunteers appointed by the Governor, council meets quarterly to identify and discuss current issues.

The Health Planning Council is a program of the Human Services Coalition committed to improving the health and well-being of Tompkins County residents. By convening stakeholders across multiple sectors and providing a neutral forum to exchange ideas, HPC promotes collaboration, alignment of resources, and shared leadership to achieve the common goals. HPC administers the Tompkins Health Network, a rural health network program focused on improving access to health care, coordination of services, and ensuring equitable health outcomes for all people.Health Planning Council has an Advisory Board of Directors and implements its work plan through standing committees and ad hoc work groups. It oversees programs and services that improve access to health care and reduces disparities including the following direct service programs: Health Insurance Navigation, Community Health Advocates.

Consortium of all types and sizes of libraries in south central New York State advocates for libraries and promotes collaboration in a changing information environment.Provides services to libraries such as: resource sharing (interlibrary loan) education and training for library workers access to electronic databases services to hospital libraries consultation and problem-solving

Offers individuals an opportunity to learn reading and writing skills, as well as resources in GED prep, ESOL and Civics, Vocational training and certifications, Workforce Readiness, Digital Literacy/ Computer classes, and more.

Oversees development and implementation of youth services throughout the county. Assists in coordination and networking of services in order to provide the most services to keep youth engaged. Provides outreach to area organizations and the public to make them aware of issues faced by the county's youth.

Licenses over 800,000 individuals including real estate brokers, notaries, private investigators, and appearance enhancement professionals. Through its licensing and business filing capacities the division promotes business growth while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all New Yorkers.

Assists in planning for the city of Long Beach, and the development of special projects within Long Beach such as the Affordable Housing Projects, Commercial Rehab Programs and CD Block Grants. Located in room 502.

Provides training and technical assistance to local governments and community organizations throughout the state, and helps local officials solve problems involving basic powers and duties, public works, municipal organization, planning, land use and regulatory controls, and community development. Services provided by the Division reflect New York's commitment to strengthening state and local partnerships to improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers.

Raises money in the community through the efforts of volunteers and invests those resources in programs that help people improve their lives. No direct assistance to individuals.

Mobilizes the community to improve the lives of individuals and families. Programs are focused in four priority areas: academic success, work readiness, self-sufficiency, and health and independence. Currently, $1.3 million is invested in 46 programs coordinated by 37 community partner agencies. Directly coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for Chautauqua County and facilitates the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI) for the City of Jamestown. Also supports the 211 WNY information and referral program.

Advocates for alcoholism and substance abuse services in Western NY. Contracts management of local programs receiving state funds. Provides regional planning for services, regulatory oversight to all licensed drug and alcohol programs, and oversight of prevention, recovery and housing services that provide OASAS services. Does NOT service individuals.
