INTERIOR DESIGN | MOLLOY UNIVERSITY CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

Offers an intensive course of study designed both for those who have a personal interest in the subject as well as those individuals interested in working in the field of Interior Design and Decorating. Career opportunities for interior decorating students include: Assistant to Building Professionals; Interior Designers; Contractors; Architects and Starting your own business. A student may work as a sales representative or employee for wallpaper, paint, carpet, lighting, furniture or fabric stores, office furnishings or space planning suppliers. The program is composed of eight required courses and two elective courses. Course offerings include: Design Concepts, History Interiors and Furnishing, Color, Drawing I, Drawing II, Decorating and Design Applications, Materials, Business Procedures for Interior Decorators, Rendering, Lighting, Interior Decorating Resources, AutoCAD 1, Outdoor Spaces & Landscape Design and Resources: Tools of the Trade. Courses vary each semester. Day and evening courses are offered. Also offered is a career seminar to see if interior decorating is a career for you. Call for detailed information.
