Provides law enforcement services for City of Oswego residents.

Supervises the construction repair and maintenance of all roads, sidewalks, bridges, municipal parking areas, recharge basins and drainage structures and systems. Responsibilities include sand spreading, snow and street debris removal, maintenance of the safety of town roads by installing and maintaining traffic signals, street signs, pavement markings and street lights.

Oversees all public streets and sewers, public parking, all matters affecting the street and traffic lighting, signage, maintenance, recycling, and plantings.

Represents the Town and the Town Board in litigation. Approves all legal matters before they are presented to the Town Board.

Has exclusive charge and supervision of the design, construction, repair, maintenance and cleaning of all streets and bridges under the jurisdiction of Nassau County, It has charge and supervision of the design and construction of county buildings, parks and grounds, drains and drainage structures, and of sewers, sewage disposal plants, water system and other structures in the nature of Public Works as the county may construct.
