HealthConnect will help you find the care you need-simply by calling. Speak directly with a registered nurse or other specially trained healthcare professionals who will listen to your concerns and help you find answers to questions. HealthConnect provides the information you need to make educated choices about urgent or routine medical care, preventive medicine, or support services. And, a state-of-the-art computer network means that you will receive access to the most current information available.

Alamo provides information and referrals, for community resources, especially those needed by migrant or farm workers and the rural poor, including English classes and immigrant application assistance.

Offers assistance to those living within parish boundaries with food from the food pantry, advocacy, referrals and information for services such as utilities, Department of Social Services, healthcare, transportation, tax information, government services and senior advocacy.

Provides mutual support group, educational materials and programs, newsletters, and e-mail support lists in addition to website based information for individuals affected by sex chromosome aneuploidy (extra X or Y chromosome). During the holiday season, provides assistance with coats, food vouchers to purchase ingredients for holiday meals, and toys/gifts for families who are not receiving gifts from Toys for Tots or Salvation Army.

Assists students who are experiencing non-academic problems, such as family, health, or financial issues. The connection center links students and their families to resources.

Provides the following services for residents of Oceanside: information and referral, advocacy, food pantry and vouchers, some volunteer transportation, clothing room, referral services for eldercare, and companions and babysitters, and furniture through the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Offers a full range of informational services which is provided by the Information, Resource, and Referral Services Unit to all residents of Nassau County; including immediate crisis and emergency intervention. That includes: Child or elder abuse; Domestic violence; Employment; Food stamps; Fuel services; Homelessness and Medicaid. Staff is available by phone Mondays to Fridays during the hours of 9am to 4:45pm. Walk-ins are welcome Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 4pm.
