311 Contact Center - City of Buffalo

A "one-stop shop" system with access to City of Buffalo services, information, and non-emergency police services. Residents can dial 311 within city limits, 716-851-4890 outside the city, visit the website, or download the BUFF311 App to report service needs, check on the status of previous service requests, or obtain information regarding city programs. A report or request can be sent anonymously through the 311 applications, made via online requests or by calling the office. However, if you choose this option, you will not be able to track the progress online. For this follow-up information, you may contact the Call Center by phone. Your anonymity will always be respected. A virtual legal advice clinic. Qualifying users post their civil legal question to their state's website. Users will then be emailed when their question receives a response. Attorney volunteers, who must be authorized to provide pro bono assistance in their state, log in to the website, select questions to answer, and provide legal information and advice. Volunteer attorneys will not answer criminal law questions.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH JUSTICE CLINIC | TOURO LAW CENTER

Legal services provided by law students for youth involved in the Suffolk County juvenile and criminal justice systems. Clinic students also provide educational advocacy to justice-involved young people in matters such as school suspension and expulsion hearings, special education proceedings and impartial hearings. They also represent those young people in delinquency and adolescent offender cases. Representation is provided by upper-level law students, working under the close supervision of experienced lawyers who are clinical professors. There is no charge for clinic representation. However, the clinics have limited resources and cannot take every case, no matter how deserving. Clinic staff members meet with potential clients by appointment only. Please do not visit the Law Center unless you have first contacted the Office of Clinical Programs at 631-761-7080 to see if you are eligible.
