OUTREACH PROGRAM | LONG ISLAND TEEN CHALLENGE

Provides a support group for individuals seeking out-student care. Home curriculum concerning life-controlling problems is available. During Outreach, group meetings, interviews, evaluations, counsel, and prayer take place. Meetings held at Freedom Chapel, 641 Broadway (Route 110), Amityville, New York.

HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAM | WESTCHESTER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (WCDOH) - MOUNT KISCO

An outreach program to help improve and maintain personal health and environmental living conditions. The goal of the program is to promote healthy neighborhoods by keeping residents aware of the variety of medical, social and environmental services available to them locally. Outreach staff visit residents, at the residents request, an inspection of their home is also performed to be sure that no environmental health hazards or problems exist. If environmental health hazards or problems do exist, our staff will direct them to the agency best able to help.

Provides training to students, judges, prosecutors, police, attorneys, and other professionals dealing with domestic violence issues (including stalking and sexual assault) and elder abuse. Also offers seminars on elder law issues, such as estate and financial planning, health care, Medicare, living wills, and more. In addition, conducts free outreach programs for the public on domestic violence and elder law.
