ANDRUS CENTER FOR LEARNING AND INNOVATION (ACLI) | JULIA DYCKMAN ANDRUS MEMORIAL CHILDREN'S CENTER

Hosts annual conferences on trauma and children, publishes literature to inform professionals and the public, provides training and consultation in a host of related areas to similar organizations. The service is provided by the Sanctuary Institute, a training and consultation service, an evidence-based template for system change, based on the active creation and maintenance of a nonviolent, democratic therapeutic community in which staff and clients are empowered as key decision-makers to build a socially responsive, emotionally intelligent community that fosters growth and change.

QUITLINE | NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Provides cessation support, referrals and information to callers who wish to quit smoking or obtain information related to cessation and tobacco use. Callers may speak to trained information specialists or leave a message during off-hours to have their phone call returned by a specialist. They may also order a free smoking cessation guide to be mailed directly to their home or listen to a taped message library that provides information about quitting smoking.

Sickle Cell and Hemoglobinopathy Center of WNY - OCH

Provides medical care, education, counseling, and support for children and adolescents with sickle cell disease, thalassemia and other hemoglobin disorders. Exists within the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, which is part of the Department of Pediatrics and is affiliated with the SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH | NEW YORK STATE COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (NYSCADV)

Provides ongoing training and technical assistance through trainings, in-services, and conferences and through regular contact with advocates and stakeholders addressing issues such as funding, legislation, program development, service provision, community collaboration, program evaluation, public assistance, immigration, HIV, chemical dependence, mental health, the law and court system, social change, and cultural competency among other issues as they impact victims of domestic violence.
