Provides three types of alcoholism meetings: open, which are open to anyone closed, for members and newcomers affected by another person's drinking and ala-teen, restricted to individuals up to 18 years of age. Special focus meetings are available for women, men, gays, and parents. Anonymity is protected for all members. Nassau County information service can provide pamphlets, meeting lists and al-anon information for clergy and social workers, health and education professionals. Arrangements can be made for speakers to present at schools, health fairs and other institutions. Monthly open meetings are specifically available for clergy, doctors, social workers and general public.

Programs for people living with HIV/AIDS include: HIV and Disclosure Training, Health Education and Risk Reduction Program and confidential rapid HIV and HCV testing for partners and social networks of HIV+ individuals. For adults over 50 and communities of color, STI testing is available.

The Office of CORE Services is charged with bringing NCDA’s family, victim, community and educational services to every corner of Nassau County, and centralizing NCDA’s victims’ services response office wide. CORE's school-based and youth programming brings together educators, parents, and children of all ages from elementary through high school, to raise awareness about the challenges impacting our County’s young people. Our comprehensive approach includes programming that reaches directly into Nassau’s public and private school districts to provide information and resources for students, parents, and educators. Through this endeavor, we are committed to providing our youth with the support that they need to make good choices in their lives. Sample programs or presentations offered include: Drunk & Reckless Driving Awareness/Choices and Consequences; Heroin Awareness/Not My Child; Internet Safety/S.T.O.P.
