Nassau County Dental Society maintains a Peer Review system to assist patients and dentists in resolving matters of dispute dealing with quality of care matters. Provides education and support to the Suffolk County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies, and coordinates the components of the Emergency Medical Services system. Every year the division attempts to increase emergency preparedness efforts, coordinated educational offerings with quality improvement efforts, expanded educational opportunities, and continued to focus on EMS system quality improvement in conjunction with the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council (REMSCO). Offers members educational and informational programs. Mechanisms also exist within the Society for the resolution of disputes between patients and member dentists. Also provides a speakers bureau in which dentists speak about a variety of topics. Topics include cosmetic dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, children's teeth, implants, restorative dentistry and more. Available to schools.
