Offers individual advocacy to the deaf and hard of hearing; training to encourage self-empowerment and self-advocacy; peer groups; and presentations for assistive technology, interacting with the deaf culture and education youth on deaf culture. Aids in making connections to individuals or organizations that are able to act as interpreters for American Sign Language.

Provides audiological services to children birth to adults in communities across Long Island. Services are offered on a fee-for-service basis. Financial grants and sliding scale are available.

MILL NECK EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER | MILL NECK EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

Offers a center based program for 2-5 year olds with delays in speech/language/cognitive learning areas with or without presence of hearing loss. One full day session is offered from 9:20am to 2:40pm. An integrated class comprised of both disabled and non-disabled students is also offered.

MILL NECK INTERPRETER SERVICES | MILL NECK INTERPRETER SERVICES

Provides sign language interpreters for a wide variety of services including: doctor appointments, church, meetings, trainings, etc. Interpreters are to be provided free of charge to the person with the disability. Services can be arranged throughout LI/NY Metro Region, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Services can be arranged throughout LI/NY Metro Region, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Cost is to be paid by organization (hospital, school, etc.) Requests should be made two weeks prior to the event there is a 24-hour cancellation policy to avoid charge. Pre-certified and certified interpreters are available, call for further information.
