Provides three types of alcoholism meetings: open, which are open to anyone closed, for members and newcomers affected by another person's drinking and ala-teen, restricted to individuals up to 18 years of age. Special focus meetings are available for women, men, gays, and parents. Anonymity is protected for all members. Nassau County information service can provide pamphlets, meeting lists and al-anon information for clergy and social workers, health and education professionals. Arrangements can be made for speakers to present at schools, health fairs and other institutions.
