Each woman is paired with a registered nurse who makes home visits from pregnancy and up to the child's second birthday.

The six weekly sessions are taught by registered nurses certified by the Council of Childbirth Education specialists. Topics reviewed include: signs of labor, labor process, possible medications, anesthesia, newborn care, breathing and relaxation techniques, bottle/breastfeeding, and post-partum care. A tour of the maternity area and films on labor and delivery are also included. Classes run throughout the entire year.
