RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER | MERCYFIRST

Provides a highly structured, nurturing, corrective experience for males, ages 12-16, who have serious adjustment difficulties. Assists in educational, social and coping skills for reunification with family and community. Special programs for hard to place juvenile delinquents.

CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES | MACARTHUR CENTER

Investigates reports of alleged child abuse and/or maltreatment made to the New York Central Register, via the toll free number, pertaining to residents of Suffolk County. All calls remain confidential. The Bureau also arranges for ongoing child protective and rehabilitative services to the child and the family.

NEW YORK STATE REGISTER FOR CHILD ABUSE AND MALTREATMENT | NEW YORK STATE REGISTER FOR CHILD ABUSE AND MALTREATMENT

Receives reports of suspected child abuse and neglect and forwards these reports to the appropriate local district for an investigation. Not intended to be used as an emergency response law enforcement should be contacted for emergencies. Provides information and referrals in instances where the call does not result in a child protective report but further assistance is desired. Serves children birth to 18 years and 18-21 years old placed by the State Education Department into specified residential facilities.
