Service Coordination | The Arc - Schuyler County

Aids individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in making choices and finding individualized services. They provide help in navigating through available services including assistance with eligibility determination, service coordination, and advocacy services. Service coordination is also available to children ages birth to 3 years old who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability or delay.

Provides free curb-to-curb transportation within the township for residents, whose disability restricts their mobility and prevents them from using traditional forms of transportation. Lends books and magazines that have been professionally recorded onto cassettes to eligible individuals/organizations, along with special playback equipment, catalogs, and related library services. Maintains a Reading Equipment, Aids and Devices (READ) Center which displays adaptive reading equipment, by appointment only. Serves residents of Long Island of all ages who have a visual or physical disability. Offered by public libraries, in person at agency, or postage-free mail.

A consumer driven personal assistance program that allows people with disabilities to gain more control over their personal assistance services. CDPAP enables self directing consumers to advertise, recruit, interview, hire, supervise, train and dismiss their own personal assistant(s). Self directing persons assess their own needs, determine how and by whom these needs should be met, and monitor the quality of services received. Individuals independently make all decisions and manage services directly. If an individual is unable to do so, they may use a certain family member or friend to manage needed services. WEEKEND RESPITE PROGRAM | CAMP PA-QUA-TUCK

Offers a weekend respite for campers with physical and developmental disabilities between ages 6-21 years old. Check in is Friday evening at 8pm and check out is Sunday at 3pm. Campers enjoy arts and crafts, music, games, movies, and walks in the woods. The program benefits parents by giving them a break from very demanding responsibilities as their child's caregiver.
