Provides educational and informational opportunities to the general public, employers, and community agencies to increase awareness, acceptance and understanding of people living with mental illness while also promoting ways to maintain good mental health. Mental Health First Aid courses are run by certified instructors.

Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center and Eddy Alzheimer's Center at Hawthorne Ridge are the only medical model adult day services in the Capital Region designed specifically for older adults with memory loss who are still living in their own homes or in the community with caregivers. Adult Day Programs offer a full range of health and social services to help older adults with physical, emotional, or mental impairments, or who require supervision and/or medical care. Services enable older adults to remain independent for as long as possible, while allowing caregivers relief from the responsibilities of at-home care giving so they can fulfill work or other obligations. Transportation is provided in geographic area. Lunch and snacks are also provided for participants.

Provides individual, marital/couple, and family counseling services. Master level therapists are trained to address many emotional issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, parent-child difficulties, personal adjustment and stress related issues.

Provides a variety of family-support services. Provides Home-Based Intervention services for individuals aged 5-21. Provides supportive case management services to adults and children that are severely and persistently mentally ill. The goal of the program is to assist mentally ill individuals in accessing services needed to enhance their quality of life while allowing them to be part of the community at the most productive level possible for that individual. This program utilizes a wrap-around model of service delivery designed specifically for children and adults to assist with linking individuals and families to formal and informal supports and services in the community. Case management can help in the area of living arrangements, physical health needs, mental health needs, economic needs, vocational/educational needs, social functioning, family functioning, self-care needs, self-direction, and substance abuse.

Provides community-based early emotional health screening, referral, and community outreach and recognition to youth and their families, in partnership with area schools, primary care physicians, and other service providers.

Utilizes a wrap-around model of service delivery designed to assist with linking families to formal and informal supports and services in the community. Cases are assigned to workers who meet with families on a regular basis and work closely with schools regarding children who are experiencing difficulty with behavior or who have emotional difficulties. A family plan is developed with the entire family in a team approach.

Provides a centralized intake process for adults and children who have significant behavioral health including medical and/or social risk factors. There are three types of SPOAs - Children's, Adult Case/Care Management and Adult Housing. The SPOA process provides for the identification of people most in need of services, and manages service access and utilization.

Contracted by Chemung County to provide services for child, adolescent and adult residents with acute and persistent emotional and mental health problems through NYS OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic services. Programs support emotional, social, and mental health promotion, psycho-education, and recovery. The clinic offers early intervention prior to onset of chronic or severe psychiatric problems; seeks to prevent hospitalization or re-hospitalization; and offers community education and consultation services for clients, their families, and the community. Services are prioritized for children and adolescents identified as Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and adults identified as Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI).

Offers counseling in anger management for individuals who internalize their anger as well as those who act it out verbally or in behavior toward friends, family, children, employers or others. Included are court-ordered and voluntary programs for individuals who are involved in domestic violence or child abuse. Adult counseling is provided within a group setting. The purpose of the group is to assist the client in using skills and concepts related to anger triggers and responses to further develop the use of non-abusive behaviors and overcome negative barriers; to assist the client in reducing his risk of physically, emotionally, and/or psychologically abusive behaviors that are hurtful to others and selves; to encourage further the use of healthy thought processes, understanding the role of positive recognition of feelings and how to deal with feelings/emotions in a healthy/positive way to assist the client in the use of learned skills to improve relationships and avoid negative consequences related to interpersonal difficulties with others. Child and adolescent counseling is provided on an individual basis only.

Provides local alternative for counties needing to place children at a higher level of care that a county-level foster home can provide. Therapeutic foster homes specialize in the care of children with psychologically, social, emotional and behavioral health care needs who can respond in close relationships within a family setting and whose special needs require more intense or therapeutic services. Also recruits and trains individuals and families to act as foster parents to children in need of out of home care.

Community presentations are available to health care providers and others who provide services to individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and their families.

Provides clinical services to individuals with disabilities and their families including treatment coordination during the eligibility process and while accessing additional agency services; advocacy with other agencies when additional services are needed; psychological services including assessments and therapy; social work; nursing services; nutrition services and rehabilitation counseling. These jobs can be in the competitive workforce, self-owned businesses in the home, sheltered workshops or in supported employment in the community. Also works with students, families and school districts to coordinate appropriate services for students with disabilities who are leaving secondary education and entering adult vocational rehabilitation.

Offers information and referral services, education on epilepsy, developmental disabilities and on traumatic brain injury. Case management; Medicaid service coordination; Health Homes; Family support services; Structured day and evening programs; Support groups, counseling; Employment/vocational counseling ;Community habilitation; Residential services; and Camp EAGR - Residential summer camp for children with epilepsy.

Offers weekly meetings for the purpose of working toward recovery from emotional difficulties. Also includes internet based support groups.

Works with area public health departments, community based organizations, and local businesses to further public health initiatives across 7 counties in the Finger Lake region. Includes building collaborations through strategic planning and alignment. Compiles a regional Community Health Assessment as well as facilitates a healthy eating and food security coalition, early childhood initiatives, substance use and mental health information, and emergency planning.

Specialized in home medical services for children experiencing developmental delays or in need of special education.

Provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children experiencing symptoms of mental illness in Watkins Glen and Odessa Montour Central School Districts. Individual therapy, psychiatric evaluation and prescribing of medication available.

Provides information and support to individuals with mental illness and their families.
