Provides an early childhood/parent education program with home visits twice a week designed to support school readiness and build parenting skills for children ranging from 16 months to 4 years.

An alternative program that serves disabled youngsters of high school age who present a variety of educational and emotional needs. A failure to succeed in school is often tied to a variety of emotional problems frequently linked to a disturbance within the family unit. This program provides an enriched educational environment that incorporates the Common Core Learning Standards. They receive ongoing services from consulting psychiatrists, either employed by the Office of Mental Health or BOCES. Transitional classes are available for those students capable of being mainstreamed into a regular high school. An after-school program is offered for students who are unable to attend a normal full-day school due to the students’ disability(ies). This option is also suitable for students who are employed during the school day and who require after-school educational programming to complete their high school studies. Related services, support services and psychiatric consultation services are also offered for students who require these specialized services. Also offered is the PASS Program at Brennan High School. This is a highly structured environment in which instructional and behavioral deficits can be addressed within a small group setting for high school aged students. Students may or may not be classified as special education students. All are in need of alternative education. Truancy, non-compliance with school rules and generally disruptive behavior often characterize a student in crisis; such a student is appropriate for the PASS Program. Students who are at risk due to poor achievement may also be referred to this program where they will be afforded many support services to ensure success.

Provides coordination of suicide awareness, prevention, and post-intervention training strategies in partnership with other organizations and service providers.

Care Management services for Adults and Children who have physical and/or mental health diagnosis. Care Managers will assist with scheduling appointments, arranging for transportation and will attend appointments at the clients request to help advocate for the clients wants and needs. A Care Manager for a child will work with the parents or guardian to ensure a child is safe, healthy and well cared for. We will work with providers including the schools to ensure a child's voice is heard and goals are developed to meet the child's needs.

Provides a brief intensive therapy program designed for families with teens who are at risk of out-of-home placement to solve specific issues, and to work together on the strengths and challenges within the family.

Offers a support space where young adults can call to talk about the highs and lows of their experiences with a peer who has navigated similar situations and can connect the caller with information and resources that can assist them. Callers have all decision-making power during the call, and can call as often as they need to. Callers may be connected with resources in the following categories: - Mental Health - Housing/Shelters - Food Access - Education/GED - Legal and Rights - Support Groups - Domestic Violence - Vocational/Employment Readiness - Young Parenting Supports - LGBTQIA - Crisis Services - Addiction Supports The Heartline is provided in partnership with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

Psychiatric day treatment program for youth in grades 6-12 that may benefit from enhanced clinical care within an academic setting. Provides educational and clinical services to students in a 6:1:1 classroom setting at a standalone facility. Students receive educational services along with individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and medication management when necessary. Students can also access crisis support services when therapeutically necessary. Integrated mental health services are provided within a strength-based recovery model. Partners with Erie 1 BOCES component school districts, Buffalo Public Schools, and families in the referral process, and collaborates with both families and school districts to reintegrate youth into a less restrictive academic setting. Also assists with linkages to community support services to support recovery. Average length of outpatient treatment is 3-6 months or as soon as the student meets their established treatment goals to be discharged to a less restrictive setting.

Provides secure, recovery oriented living environments for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Committed to assisting clients to live meaningful, productive lives by providing flexible supports in a person-centered atmosphere. Residents of all programs learn the skills necessary to live independently. Treatment Apartments are certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health and provide consumers with the highest level of independence. Staff make routine visits and are available 24 hours a day in case of an emergency. Provides 12 one-bedroom apartments.

Works with individuals living with mental illness who have been non-compliant with past treatment which has led to multiple hospitalizations, threats, or acts of violence toward self or others. If an individual is not able to be engaged in appropriate services, a court petition may be filed to request an order for AOT. Recipients are monitored for treatment compliance and to ensure provision of appropriate services.

Provides non-therapeutic, short-term childcare to families that have a child with a mental health diagnosis which requires ongoing treatment. The purpose is to give the guardian a reliable, planned break for a period of 2-4 hours. The guardian may use the respite time to run errands, attend professional or personal appointments, spend time with family and friends, take a class, renew old hobbies, enjoy quiet time, and/or spend valuable one-on-one time with their other children. Should not be used for school courses or work.

Offers comprehensive services to children and families, which promotes literacy skills and social, mental, emotional, and physical needs. Parents are the cornerstone of the Head Start Program. The Head Start staff recognizes that parents are the child's first teachers. We encourage parent involvement in all aspects of programming from classroom volunteers to serving on decision-making committees. Provides safe settings, Kindergarten readiness skills, classroom and home-based experience, hot nutritious meals, health screening, community referrals, transportation, non-violent problem solving skills and day care referrals for children and siblings.

Provides residential rehabilitation services for men with substance use disorders. Services include on-site substance use and mental health counseling, basic medical care, meals, recreation, daily support, and self-help meetings. Program employs client-centered cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies, along with motivational interviewing to help residents learn to cope with life experiences without relying on substance use. Utilizes trauma-informed care practices that seek to address each individual's past history or trauma and its effect on their lives.

Outpatient mental health clinic for children. Provides counseling and treatment for children ages 5-21 years of age and their families. Treatment is intended to improve life functioning and psychiatric symptoms while keeping children and adolescents in their homes and communities. The clinic can provide ongoing support to youth and family. Families will work with a therapist to develop goals to improve life functioning and wellness. In addition, psychiatric assessment is available to those that require medication. Satellite clinics include the Zoar Valley Clinic in Gowanda, as well as Buffalo Public School #45 (International School). Family support programs are available to share challenges and solutions among families experiencing similar situations. This is a professionally facilitated group in collaboration with the Mental Health Advocates of WNY.

A comprehensive, recovery-oriented program for people 18 years and older with severe and persistent mental health conditions. PROS integrates treatment, support, and rehabilitation in a manner that facilitates recovery. Provides a strong vocational program.

Provides 24 hour crisis intervention and supportive counseling to all callers in Chautauqua County. Serves as the local connection for National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Additional services include: specialized Kids' Helpline and access to mobile teams.
