Services are designed to meet the unique educational needs of currently enrolled students with documented permanent/ temporary disabilities or disabling medical conditions. The Disability Services Center (DSC) is dedicated to the principle that equal opportunity be afforded each student to realize his/her fullest potential. The goal is to assist students with disabilities to function as independently as possible, and to ensure a comprehensively accessible college experience where individuals with disabilities have the same access to programs, opportunities and activities as all other students at the college. DSC offers its services to all students in face-to-face, remote, live-stream, hybrid, online courses and distance education programs. Documentation about your disability will need to be provided. Please contact the Disability Services Center to discuss your reasonable accommodations.

Provides Reference, Information and Referral, Homework Help, Teen Advisory Board, Movie Night, Game Night, babysitting course and a range of programs including but not limited to Book Discussions, Arts and Crafts and Reading Programs.

Offers a full range of services and activities for adults and children including computer access, story programs for preschoolers, programs for seniors, and summer reading clubs for children and teens.

Preserves and exhibits local history and presents programs on local history of Miller Place and Mt. Sinai.

Outpatient mental health services including individual, marital, family, parent, and group therapy; depression and anxiety counseling; psychiatric assessment and treatment; medication management and provision; crisis intervention and case management; specialized programs in stress management; domestic violence intervention for victims and perpetrators; and trauma recovery.

Provides supervised living facility for 18 adults.

Provides one-on-one HUD approved counseling for seniors who wish to withdraw equity from their home for expenses. Counselors explain process and assist in determining available options.

Provides early, continuous child development and health education, encourages parental involvement in program governance, and supports the family through connections to community services. Provides low-income families living in the City of Schenectady with comprehensive family health, child development education, socialization, family empowerment, and family and community partnership services to pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers.

Provides home visits by a registered professional nurse to high risk pregnant women, new moms and infants, and children at risk for health and social problems. Visits can include either preventive services or skilled care that otherwise would have to be provided in a physician's office, hospital, or clinic.

Provides information about local government offices and services and local court.

Provides information and assistance to veterans, family members, and active military personnel in obtaining records, benefits, and entitlements from the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

Responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances, investigating criminal activity, and engaging in other activities that protect lives and property and preserve peace in the community.

Offers a 24-hour crisis intervention hotline providing advocacy at all hours for victims of sexual assault. Programming also includes transportation, court accompaniment and preparation, individual and group counseling, community education, primary prevention, crime victim compensation assistance through NYS Office of Victim Services, and outreach to rural victims of sexual assault.

Monitors new building conditions and construction and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Enforces the state and local building codes and housing standards and ordinances. Reviews applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses. Accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Public library offering a wide variety of information resources which are made available to the community.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and permits include marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits, peddler/solicitor licenses, and racing/wagering licenses. Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining town records and archives. Prepares and collects property taxes for residents of the Town of Wilton from January through March 31st. After March 31st all paperwork goes to the Saratoga County Treasurer's Office.

Food Pantry

Seeks to improve the health and well-being of infants and children through home-based services delivered by non-profit organizations in local communities.

Responds to complaints regarding rodents, dog waste, garbage, overflowing sewage, bird feeding, general nuisances and more. This Office also issues Rodent Free Certifications before demolition. Call for detailed information.

Provides rental assistance subsidies to families and singles (who are over 62 or are disabled), which can be used to rent housing in the Rensselaer area.

Services for developmentally disabled children include education, vision therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, wheelchair clinic, and outpatient clinic. Early Intervention provides evaluation as well as services in the home and at the Center for Learning. School Age Program provides services at the Center for Learning and community-based experiences. Summer Work Program gives students the opportunity to strengthen their skills and confidence while providing experience in the world of employment.

Houses a minor league baseball stadium for use by the Syracuse Mets.

Operates toll-free consumer complaint phone line and website, and mitigates with businesses and consumers with complaints. Develops informational materials on current consumer issues, and conducts informational programs. Offers presentations on issues such as consumer scams, senior citizen consumer issues, identity theft, internet and financial literacy.

Provides spay and neuter assistance to in-need animals, people, and communities. Offers subsidized spay and neuter services through veterinary partnerships, available primarily in Saint Lawrence County.

Offers confidential HIV testing, rapid HIV testing, education, and treatment referrals.
