Food bank/pantry that organizes the collection of food donations and distribute to those in need.

New York State Education Department Approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are designed to provide a career pathway for students while satisfying many of the requirements for a Regents High School Diploma. Students learn, reinforce, and apply academic skills such as ELA, Math, and Science in the context of their CTE program while they prepare for further study at the post-secondary level or direct entry into the workforce after high school. Students participate in internships and may earn valuable industry certifications and/or licenses. The curriculum is assessed against nationally recognized industry standards and meets the NYS Learning Standards. Evening and day courses also offered for adults.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and permits include marriage licenses, and disabled parking permits. Maintains birth and death certificates as well as town records and archives. Prepares and collects property taxes for residents of the Town of Broome from January through June 1st. After June 1st all paperwork goes to the Schoharie County Treasurer's Office.

Free meals on weekends for individuals with economic challenges.

Offers knowledgeable and trained peer advocates who meet with parents, listen, connect, teach, coach, and empower them to be appropriate advocates for themselves and their families. Offers Parent Empowerment Groups, Love & Logic parenting classes, and educational workshops open to the public.

Provides occupational, physical and speech therapy, cognitive therapy, oral motor therapy evaluations, and early intervention services for children ages birth to 5 years of age with developmental delays, head injuries and other conditions that may impact developments. Call for more information.

Provides a full day education program for children (ages 3-5) with and without disabilities. Children w/disabilities receive services as reflected on their IEP including special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological counseling and parent training.

Provides a choice pantry, where low income individuals and families can choose their own food, of what is available. The pantry offers canned goods,other non-perishable items, fresh vegetables and produce, eggs, cheese, and frozen meats.

The New York State Department of Temporary and Disability Assistance Safety Net Program is operated locally by the Sullivan County Division of Health & Family Services. Individuals who are ineligible for Family Assistance or other federal assistance programs may be eligible for participation. Participation in the program is based on income and resource eligibility and in most cases includes a 45 day application period as well as work requirements. Participation in the Safety Net Assistance Program in most cases is limited to 24 months.

Provides nutritious meals, reservations are needed by noon the day before. A contribution of $4.00 is requested for people age 60+ and spouse of any age. Those under age 60 are charged $5.00 per meal. No one age 60+ will be denied a meal due to an inability or unwillingness to contribute. Center provides various social activities including exercise groups, cards, games, crafts, trips and other special events.

Provides assistance to working individuals and families to prevent eviction or foreclosure as well as assistance for homeless individuals and families to obtain permanent housing after all other community resources have been utilized.

Provides services to aid in foreclosure prevention, tax foreclosure, mortgage payments, predatory lending or other related foreclosure issues.

Act as a liaison between the school administration, students, and the Police Department. SROs provide a safe learning environment in schools, contribute valuable resources to school staff members, and foster positive relationships with youth and the community. SROs work with school officials in identifying at-risk youth, then mentor and guide them to resources within their community to help form more positive behaviors and choices. SCPD has a Spanish speaking SRO assigned to the Community Relations Bureau to help foster relationships with the Spanish speaking community within Suffolk County. School Resource Officers conduct presentations to high schools and middle schools across the county regarding various safety topics, including, but not limited to, Internet Safety, The Dangers of Drugs and Alcohol, Vehicle Safety, What To Do When Stopped by the Police and Opportunities of Employment within the Suffolk County Police Department. SROs also conduct programs in Elementary Schools such as 911 Awareness and Stranger Danger. SROs participate in after school activities such as sports, cooking, hiking and fishing. SROs also organize field trips such as Police Week and assist at college visits with school personnel, providing students with the ability to develop a close relationship with their SRO. Programs can be tailored and every effort will be made to accommodate the needs of each individual school based on current events and local issues. Offers assisted living for those seniors who need some supervised care, along with a community-like environment, including other amenities such as medication management, personal care, laundry services, congregate dinning, recreational activities and trips.

Provides legal advice and representation if needed, for seniors, regarding housing issues, civil matters, contracts, wills, etc.
