Offers an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors who attend our partner school districts to earn college credits while having an experience of college life. Students enroll in college classes and interact with college faculty, staff and other students. ECP students can earn college-level credits while continuing to complete high school. All classes are taught by college professors, and ECP students are integrated into classes with college students. Each program participant is assigned an ECP counselor. With guidance from the College’s Program staff, students select classes from the general education program or take a sequence of courses in a particular curriculum. Enrollment in courses through Suffolk’s Early College Program generates an official Suffolk academic transcript for each student. Successfully earned credits are accepted at Suffolk or can be transferred to a multitude of other colleges and universities. Acceptance of credit for college-level course work is under the domain of the receiving colleges and universities with general acceptance within State University of New York (SUNY) institutions. Graduates of the program have gone on to notable two and four-year institutions, including Suffolk County Community College and are strong candidates for their Honor’s Program. The building department monitors new building conditions and construction, and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Also enforces the state and local building codes, housing standards and ordinances, to the review of applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses, in addition to electrical and plumbing work. The building department accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Provides educational, recreational and cultural activities in a school age child care program. Offers before-and-after-school care, for grades K-5. Activities include arts and crafts, games, activities, outdoor recreation, healthful snacks, homework assistance, sports, and computer. ISACC is a not-for-profit organization registered in the State of New York by the NY State Office of Children & Family Services. Offers programs to students ages 13-21 in grades 8-12. The Prevocational Program services students with various developmental disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to maximize each student's potential and to teach skills that will enable them to become as independent as possible within the confines of his/her disability. Program components include academics with an emphasis on functional skill development, as well as simulated work activities to apply newly acquired knowledge. Behavior management, independent living, and social skills are also addressed. Where needed, discrete trial teaching and applied behavioral analysis is utilized in conjunction with grade level curriculum. Functional assessments of behavior intervention plans are implemented for support when needed. Students are classified as Multiple Disabilities; Autism; Intellectual Disability; Emotional Disturbance; Speech Impairment and Other Health Impairment. The Secondary Developmental Program services students with various developmental disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to maximize each student's potential and to teach skills that will enable them to become as independent as possible within the confines of his/her disability. Program components include improving cognition with an emphasis on sensory motor skills development. Functional assessments of behavior and behavior intervention plans are put in place for support when needed. The 12:1:4 Program emphasizes a multi-sensory approach to learning. Emphasis is placed on improving cognition, sensory motor skills development and use of adaptive equipment to aid movement and independence. Students placed in the 12:1:4 class component are dependent upon staff for meeting their needs throughout the school day. Classroom instruction is provided with hand over hand assistance. Related services of speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy are provided on a group push-in basis. All students are assessed using the New York State Alternate Assessment. The District Based Program (Half day at WHBLC @ Shoreham-Wading River High School / Half day at H.B. Ward Career & Tech SCE or TSP @ BLC) services students with various developmental disabilities. The primary goal is to introduce the students to work skills that may prepare them for entry level employment or help them achieve success in their transitional plan.
