Westchester Forensic Mobile Team works directly with law enforcement in the field and courts seeking alternatives to incarceration (ATI), to provide immediate crisis response and/or transitional care services to people at risk of entering the criminal justice system due to under-addressed mental health, addiction, or social determinant of health issues.

Provides 45 pantries throughout our service area with nutritious foods; delivered at least twice a month. Gardens provide seasonal fruits/ vegetables to low income families in our area.

Provides food to Southold families in need. Food donated by individuals, organizations, local farm stands, Long Island Cares and Island Harvest are collected and distributed at the main office. Also offers winter, spring and summer breakfast and lunch foods for school aged children during school recesses and summer vacation.

Provides an academic setting with a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of students with learning, behavioral, emotional and developmental disabilities. The environment and culture is structured to support students’ social and emotional development. The instructional program is aligned to the New York State Common Core Learning Standards and addresses students' cognitive levels and learning styles. Students are given the opportunity to work toward earning a New York State Regents diploma or other state-approved high school diploma. Instructional and work-based learning opportunities required for the Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) Commencement Credential are also provided for all ninth graders. Students meeting the requirements towards a Skills and Credentials Certificate (SACC) work toward developing life skills and building personal independence through functional academics. Seaman Neck also provides small class ratios for students with more intense needs where the instructional team provides additional support through a consulting psychiatrist. The Disability Information and Access Line (DIAL) is available to help people with disabilities get vaccinated and access COVID-19 tests. The hotline also can provide information and resources to answer questions and address concerns about the vaccines and can connect callers to information and services that promote independent living and address fundamental needs, such as food, housing, and transportation.

The Building Department administers and enforces the New York State Fire Prevention and Uniform Building Code as well as chapters in the City of Rye Code relating to building new construction, renovations, additions and alterations, certifications of compliance and occupancy, property maintenance, construction within FEMA-designated flood zones, signage, fences and zoning.

Recruits, certifies and trains prospective foster parents in order to provide homes for children who are temporarily removed from their birth families. Works with birth parents, children and foster parents with the goal of reunification. Works with group homes and residential treatment centers for children who need a higher level of structure. Provides ongoing supportive services to foster families. The Adoption Unit works with children who cannot be reunited with birth parents to seek adoption by their present foster parents or placement in a suitable alternative adoptive home. Provides spacious apartments at 40 Willow Drive for income-restricted, independent seniors, including apartments for those with mobility challenges in a nine-story tower setting with 135 spacious units.

Ensures that all eligible seniors 65 and older have access to medical eye care. It also raises awareness about age-related eye diseases and provides free eye care educational materials. Eligible people (through a referral program) receive a comprehensive, medical eye exam and up to one year of treatment for any condition diagnosed during the initial exam, at no out of pocket expense for the physician's services. DBCH provides health education presentations that are age appropriate, culturally sensitive and tailored to meet specific needs, from preschool to seniors. Some presentations include information on Nutrition, Oral Health Care, Diabetes, Lead, Lyme Disease, and much much more.
