Provides emergency shelter for homeless men, women, families with children, and youth ages 16 years and older. Guests receive personal care items, three meals a day, the use of a laundry area, and case management assistance with goal setting, identifying, and accessing appropriate housing.

At H.E.T.P., we train all our participants to be work ready in the hospitality industry and office administrative work. They receive over 60 hours of instruction in skills and certifications in the hospitality industry and office administrative work. Participants get up to 120 hours of on-the-job training and coaching. Participants learn and receive training and certifications in various areas like Resume Workshops, Mock Interview Coaching, Food/Beverage Certification (case by case), Customer Service Training, Computer Proficiency Classes, Business Tours, Etiquette Courses, Conflict Management, Empathy/Emotional Intelligence, Transferable Skills to Other Careers. Perks to joining include: We pay for interview clothes and clothing related to the job you want to obtain-for example, Non-Slip Shoes, Slacks, Blazers, etc. & We will pay for haircuts to ensure participants look sharp for interviews. We will pay for Childcare! Childcare is often a huge barrier to employment, and we want to ensure our participants can make it to class daily. Offers an academic program that caters to diverse academic backgrounds and skills of its students with learning differences or ADD. The school offers several levels of academic achievement toward which a student may strive. The teachers are trained in a multi-sensory approach and provide a small, nurturing classroom in which each student can reach their full potential. Also provides extracurricular activities, a sports program, and a summer camp.

Provides free loans of assistive technology. Assistive technology is any device that can be used to improve the functional abilities of people with disabilities or short-term injuries. Available items include wheelchairs, walkers, Rollators, canes, crutches, ramps, grab bars, Hoyer lifts, adaptive seating, shower chairs, commodes, wander alarms, weighted items, adaptive utensils, laptops, iPads and deaf and blind/low vision technology. We also have learning aids, toys and games for early intervention, as well as pediatric equipment. Free delivery may be available.

Provides information for those who qualify for Medical Transportation. Medicaid can pay for transportation to and from emergency medical care and services. Medicaid can also pay for transportation to and from Medicaid billable non-emergency medical care or services for a Medicaid eligible individual or reimburse that individual for the expense related to public transportation or private vehicle use. If your medical condition requires you to travel by taxi, ambulette, or ambulance, effective July 1, 2015 you must contact LogistiCare Solutions, the New York State Department of Health's transportation coordinator, at 1-844-678-1103. Preparation for individuals seeking naturalization and citizenship.

Manages more than 70 parks, preserves, museums, historic properties, and athletic facilities comprising 6,000 acres throughout the county. The Parks department operates numerous museums and plays host to others by providing the property and physical facilities as well as other services. These museums provide a range of artistic and educational experiences for the public. In addition the Parks Department manages numerous nature preserves. These preserves offers visitors nature trails, access to historic buildings and natural habitats. The parks system provides a tremendous variety of experiences for residents and visitors. Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center and Eddy Alzheimer's Center at Hawthorne Ridge are the only medical model adult day services in the Capital Region designed specifically for older adults with memory loss who are still living in their own homes or in the community with caregivers. Adult Day Programs offer a full range of health and social services to help older adults with physical, emotional, or mental impairments, or who require supervision and/or medical care. Services enable older adults to remain independent for as long as possible, while allowing caregivers relief from the responsibilities of at-home care giving so they can fulfill work or other obligations. Transportation is provided in geographic area. Lunch and snacks are also provided for participants.
