In conjunction with the Weatherization Assistance Program and in instances that a home is in need of repairs too extensive for weatherization, CCA may serve qualifying owner-occupied homes to address roofing and other healthy and safety issues. After-school enrichment program for kids in grades K-6. A hot meal is offered daily. Offers evidence-based violence, drug, and alcohol prevention programming that teaches participants alternative behaviors to resolve conflicts and express emotions. Classroom workshop topics include anger management, conflict resolution, empathy training, and problem solving. Program has a health and wellness component providing activities and gym time, an academic support component providing help with school subjects and homework, and a creative component providing arts and crafts activities.

Serves children/youth at-risk for out-of-home placement due to educational, community or home-based concerns. Also serves children/youth who are currently in out-of-home placement whose discharge could be accelerated if preventive services were in place. Primary Goal is to safely maintain children in their own homes whenever possible and to greatly enhance the prospect of that permanence.

A federally funded program administered by New York State to assist low income families with their energy needs. Multiple components are available to residents while funding is available. Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) components include Regular and Emergency benefit assistance towards heating and electricity costs, furnace repair, replacement, clean and tune, and cooling assistance. All approved benefits result in a credit on the heating or electric bill, or a delivery of fuel, equaling the benefit amount. Programs run annually until funding is exhausted. Participation in the Early Intervention Program is voluntary. Services are provided in the child's natural environment, including at home. Services that may be provided in-home include:

An independent organization within the IRS led by the National Taxpayer Advocate that helps individuals and business taxpayers resolve problems with the IRS by: ensuring that taxpayer problems not resolved through normal IRS channels are promptly and impartially handled; assisting taxpayers who are facing hardships; identifying issues that impact taxpayer rights, increase taxpayer burden or otherwise create problems for taxpayers and bringing these issues to the attention of the IRS management; and recommending administrative and legislative changes. Situations where the TAS may help include: IRS actions preventing you from providing for necessities such as housing, transportation or food; IRS actions preventing you from being able to meet basic expenses such as payroll, if you are a business owner; delays of more than 30 days to resolve a tax related problem or not receiving a response by the date promised. Low Income Taxpayer Clinic provides representation in federal tax controversies with the IRS free of charge or for a nominal fee. Clinics also provide tax education and outreach for taxpayers who speak English as a second language.

Provides frozen meals available via pickup from participating senior center locations throughout Erie County. Seniors can choose between a 3, 5, 6, 8 or 10 meal pack that can be picked up once a week from participating locations. A roll, milk, and dessert are included with each meal.

The CPSE is a multidisciplinary team established to conduct meetings to develop, review, or revise the Individual Education Program (IEP) of a student with a disability. Provides a 24-hour crisis intervention hotline, 24-hour advocacy, group counseling, transportation, court accompaniment and preparation, and compensation claim form assistance through NYS Office of Victim Services. Office is at a secure location, which is shared with clients at the time of intake.
