The Nanuet Family Resource Center runs several school age care programs within the district. At Miller School and Highview there is a before school and after school program for the students that attend school in each building.

Offers a 70-plot community garden for anyone to help cultivate and maintain. Other activities include an outreach with the Boys and Girls Club to join with older adults and help each other work on the community garden together, and where a portion of the harvest is given to local food pantries.

Hearing: comprehensive audiologic testing, pure tone testing, speech reception testing, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, hearing aid evaluation, vestibular/ balance testing ENG, newborn hearing testing, otoacoustic emissions, central audiology difficulties, tinnitus and auditory training.

Provides free, anonymous and confidential counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS, and provides confidential partner notification assistance to providers for their HIV positive and AIDS diagnosed patients.

The Parent-Child Home Program provides two home visits a week for families with children ages 2 and 3 years. Each week the home visitor brings the family a book or educational toy that remains with them permanently. The home visitor models parenting techniques, emphasizing verbal interaction and learning through play. The goal is to help parents become their child's first and most important teacher and ensure that these children enter school ready to learn and succeed. Families with low-income, low education level and children, ages 2 and 3 years old (can start as early as 16 months), are targeted.

Welcome Friends is a non-sectarian organization seeking to create a sense of community for neighbors affected by hunger and poverty by serving them with dignity and respect in safe, hospitable environments. Provides hot meals and sandwiches or groceries to go.
