CAPTAIN's Family Assistance program offers advocacy and assistance in accessing emergency funds for basic needs to families in all of Saratoga County.

Assists individuals and families by providing enough food for 3 days. Offers vouchers for furniture, clothing and housewares. Coordinates a mobile food pantry to deliver to those with no transportation, quarantined, etc.

Helps Nassau-Suffolk residents living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, who are on the verge of falling behind, those who might otherwise fall through the cracks of traditional social support services. Services are totally dependent upon private donations and are not always available. Requests that may come in are transportation vouchers, appliances, winter coats, clothing vouchers, Holiday gifts, personal care items. Please call for availability.

Program available to persons in need of appliances, furniture, household items, and/or clothing. Voucher can only be used at St. Vincent De Paul Store. Volunteers may not be available for all areas. Financial, Rental, Utility, and/or Travel Assistance not available. ##REENTRY##

Provides emergency services on a walk-in or referral basis, including food pantry, rental assistance for eviction prevention, utility shut-off assistance, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and diapers. Emergency clothing and limited household supplies available by voucher to Community Action's Main Street Thrift Store (also located at 131 South Main Street). Also offers personalized case management, through which clients can be connected with vital services such as primary care, behavioral health services, peer counseling, insurance enrollment, and health home coordination, with the goal of empowering families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
