Provides comprehensive youth services to all youth in Herkimer County. Offers a 7-week employmenyt opportunity during the summer for youth to gain experience at local schools, non-profits, municipalities (offices and playgrounds), local hospitals, nursing homes and county government offices.

Offers free transportation during the summer months for Herkimer Coutny youth who have employment in Old Forge and otherwise do not have transportation to and from their respective job site.

WHAT IS GO EMERGENCY RIDE HOMEThe GO ERH program is a program designed to take the potential anxiety out of alternate commutes by providing a resource that ensures you will never be stranded when emergencies occur.WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR GO EMERGENCY RIDE HOMEGO ERH is for those whose commute does not include single-occupancy vehicles. Eligible commuters include those who travel by: TCAT/bus, carpool/rideshare, bicycle, walking, or any other non-single occupancy driver travel! WHEN SHOULD YOU USE EMERGENCY RIDE HOMEGO ERH is there for those times when unforeseeable situations arise. Examples of when to use GO ERH include: Emergency at home such as fire, flood, or pet emergency You are required to work unscheduled overtime Urgent issue at a child's school or daycare requires you to be there Your planned bus does not arrive, and there is not an alternate bus you can take Your carpool vehicle breaks down, or any of the above mean than your carpool driver cannot bring you home You or a family member becomes sickWHEN NOT TO USE EMERGENCY RIDE HOME.ERH is not applicable to all situations. Some examples of when NOT to use ERH are pre-planned appointments, planned work shifts, running errands, etc. ERH is a program for those unknowns that can leave you stranded from returning home. Provides a one time grant of up to $1,000 if you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and are currently under a physician's care. This grant can be used for such services as house cleaning, meal preparation, transportation expenses, or just a day of relaxation at a local spa.

Persons with an active case and a medical need and with no means of transportation may get help with transportation to and from health care providers (doctor, clinic, hospital, etc.).
