Provides advocacy and resources for older adults and persons with disabilities who lives in nursing homes, assisted living, and other licensed adult care homes as well as behavioral health services.

Provides specially trained volunteers (ombudsman) who work to resolve complaints on behalf of residents of long-term care facilities, assist in the protection of their rights, assist family members, encourage participation in resident councils, and establish good working relations with the facility's administration and staff. Volunteers make regular visits to assigned facilities and are available to residents and family members who have questions or concerns. Volunteers are professionally supervised, and trained.
