AARP volunteers assist low to moderate income taxpayers, especially those 60 and older, with free tax preparation services. This service is offered during tax season January-April. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offered in cooperation with the IRS. Check your local public library for their tax prep schedule.

Counselors taught income tax preparation and computer operation by IRS-trained AARP Tax-Aide volunteer instructors. Commitment runs from Feb 1st to April 13th. Volunteers with knowledge of computers and 1040 Tax Forms do both federal and state income taxes. Classes for volunteers begin on Jan 3rd.

Provides free tax help to taxpayers with low and middle income, 60 years and older. Volunteers are trained to prepare basic tax forms only. Assistance may be available to homebound seniors.

Provides nutritious meals, a reservation is required by noon the day before. A contribution of $4.00 is requested for people age 60+ and spouse of any age. Those under age 60 are charged $5.00 per meal. No one age 60+ or their spouse will be denied a meal due to an inability or unwillingness to contribute.Center provides various social activities including exercise groups, cards, games, crafts, trips and other special events.
