Project Crossroads - Jamestown Police Department

Provides follow-up and referral services to adult victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Program works to enhance victim safety and support as well as perpetrator accountability. Staff collaborates with Jamestown City Court, Chautauqua County District Attorney's office, Catholic Charities (domestic violence classes for men), Chautauqua County Probation/Parole, Salvation Army, and many other human service counseling agencies to provide a coordinated community response to domestic violence. Facilitates the Chautauqua County Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Coalition consists of service providers, health care professionals, law enforcement personnel, clergy, and business sectors that meet every other month to address the needs of those affected by interpersonal violence. Domestic Violence Unit - OCDSS

Provides non-residential services to victims of Domestic Violence. Services include safety planning, basic counseling, case management, hospital accompaniment, domestic violence awareness/education, temporary assistance waivers/housing assistance, transportation, and referrals for immigrant/immigration services, safe dwelling/shelter, legal assistance, and other relevant supportive services. Also provides court advocacy including help with preparation and filing of Family Court documents such as orders of protection and custody, and will accompany victims to court upon request. All services continue to be available after hours via the Orleans County Sheriff's Dispatch.

Orleans County District Attorney - Crime Victim Witness Assistance Program

Provides assistance to victims and witnesses of crime. Services provided include: Assists with application for New York State Crime Victim Compensation; assists victims who have reported crimes to local law enforcement agencies; provides court preparation, accompaniment, and emotional support; offers referrals to counseling agencies, shelters, medical services, and others; and assists victims who are in need of information from Corrections, Parole, and Probation Services.

Provides crisis intervention and support services to survivors of sexual assault and to their families. Services include: crisis intervention for sexual assault survivors and their significant others, hotline, short-term counseling, support through medical examinations and treatment, advocacy and support during interaction with law enforcement, court accompaniment, individual consultations with professionals, community education programs, professional training programs, and referrals for additional needed services. In Wyoming County ONLY, offers a dual Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence program, which provides the Non-Shelter Domestic Violence Services as well as the sexual assault services listed above. Domestic violence services include hotline, counseling, court accompaniment, assistance with obtaining orders of protection, and referrals for safe housing.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Victim Assistance Center (VAC)

Works directly with Chautauqua County's prosecuting attorneys to ensure a victim's voice is heard in the courtroom. Provides direct services to crime victims, including but not limited to court accompaniment/advocacy, assistance with NYS Office of Victim Services compensation applications, assistance with writing impact statements and opposition letters, victim notification and information on criminal prosecution, as well as community referrals and education throughout the criminal justice process.

Grand Island Satellite - Family Justice Center of Erie County, Inc.

Provides access to various services for victims of domestic violence and unsafe relationships, including advocacy, safety planning and danger assessment, crisis intervention and short-term counseling, forensic medical care, essential item boutique, shelter referrals, court accompaniment, legal assistance with criminal and civil court matters, and linkage to community partners and services. Partners with various agencies on-site. Provides community outreach presentations and education upon request. Does not serve perpetrators.

Crime Victims Assistance Program - Niagara County - Sheriff Office

Program provides help to victims of crime through a variety of services. Assists with filing New York State Office of Victim Services compensation claims for reimbursement of out of pocket expenses related to the crime, including funeral expenses, medical/counseling expenses, loss of earnings, and/or loss of essential personal property. Provides transportation and accompaniment to court, and acts as liaison between police, courts, and victims. Also makes referrals for counseling, food, clothing, and shelter.

Haven House - Child and Family Services

Serves survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence ages 16 and older and their dependent children. Anyone feeling unsafe in a relationship can call or chat using the confidential hotline, operated by trained, compassionate staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information and support. Services provided include confidential domestic violence shelter, supportive counseling, legal and court advocacy, assistance obtaining orders of protection, safety planning, parenting after violence service, education and support groups, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing. RESTORE Sexual Assault Services & Wyoming County Domestic Violence Project

Provides crisis intervention and support services to anyone who is a survivor of sexual assault or domestic violence and to their families. All services are confidential. Trained counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information and support, enabling clients to make informed choices concerning medical, legal, and counseling needs, while offering advocacy and information about their rights. Counselors offer short-term counseling (6-8 sessions); medical, legal, and court accompaniment; crisis intervention for sexual assault survivors and their significant others; support through medical examinations and treatment; advocacy and support during interaction with law enforcement; individual consultations with professionals; community education programs; professional training programs; and referrals for additional needed services. VICTIM INFORMATION AND NOTIFICATION EVERYDAY (VINE) | NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES

Anyone who wants notification of an inmate release can use a touch-tone phone to get information about inmates in the Department's custody and register for notification of the offender's release, escape, death, and/or participation in a furlough or temporary release (work release) program. Notification will not be provided when an inmate transfers from one state Correctional Facility to a different state Correctional Facility.
