A domestic violence program comprised of advocates and social workers located within the Erie County District Attorney's Office. Provides supportive counseling, resources, case management, and safety planning to survivors of Intimate Partner Violence. Specializes in providing advocacy within criminal courts and helping survivors review their options regardless of whether they have a criminal case. Free services are provided to anyone who identifies themselves as a victim of Domestic Violence. Services include BE SAFE Hotline; court accompaniment and advocacy; counseling; crisis case management; help with safety planning; information and referrals for counseling, housing, and other programs; help communicating with the Assistant District Attorney and police; help with medical, housing, employment and financial needs; education and training about abuse; assistance in filing Family Court Family Offense petitions; and VINE program registration for offender release information.

Rape Crisis Center that also provides services addressing Domestic Violence, Family Violence, and Elder Abuse. Provides 24-hour immediate crisis response to all Erie County Hospital Emergency Departments when a victim of rape, domestic/family violence, or elder abuse is identified. The Suffolk County Crime Victims Center (CVC) provides vital trauma informed support services, information, and multi-agency service referrals for assistance to child and adult victims of sexual assault and to all victims of violent crime, all victims of hate crime and elderly, minor and disabled victims of property crime. The CVC will also assist you in completion of required documents to secure reimbursement for medical and essential personal property expenses related to the crime. CVAC staff helps crime victims apply for victim's financial compensation from New York State Office of Victim Services. Guidelines for compensation explained and could include reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses for medical treatment not covered by insurance, loss of earnings, counseling, transportation for court appearances, and burial expenses.
