Trained counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information and support, enabling clients to make informed choices concerning medical, legal, and counseling needs, while offering advocacy and information about their rights. Counselors offer short-term counseling (6-8 sessions); medical, legal, and court accompaniment; crisis intervention for sexual assault survivors and their significant others; support through medical examinations and treatment; advocacy and support during interaction with law enforcement; individual consultations with professionals; community education programs; professional training programs; and referrals for additional needed services. Offers a 24-hour crisis confidential hotline staffed by trained professionals who provide an immediate response to rape and sexual assault victims. An advocate will accompany the victim to their local emergency room for a forensic rape exam, assist them through the criminal investigation process if they decide to report to law enforcement, and will be available for crisis counseling on an ongoing basis.

Provides follow-up and referral services to adult victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Program works to enhance victim safety and support as well as perpetrator accountability. Staff collaborates with Jamestown City Court, Chautauqua County District Attorney's office, Catholic Charities (domestic violence classes for men), Chautauqua County Probation/Parole, Salvation Army, and many other human service counseling agencies to provide a coordinated community response to domestic violence. Facilitates the Chautauqua County Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Coalition consists of service providers, health care professionals, law enforcement personnel, clergy, and business sectors that meet every other month to address the needs of those affected by interpersonal violence.
