  • Discrimination for people living with HIV/AIDS. Includes breach of HIV confidentiality or testing rights. Also helps with problems such as health care proxies, living wills, and permanency planning.
Provides free legal information, advice and representation to seniors ages 60 and older on civil (non-criminal) legal matters including consumer problems, family matters, access to healthcare, public benefits issues, housing problems, future planning, and elder abuse.

* Provides limited scope legal assistance during a brief meeting with a volunteer attorney to individuals who cannot afford an attorney. The program may assist if an individual already has filed a lawsuit, wants to file a lawsuit, or has been sued in the Federal US District Court for the Western District of New York. The volunteer attorney can provide: 1.) Information about federal court procedures and the law as it applies to the facts provided by the client; 2.) Advice about preparing pleadings, motions, or other court documents 3.) Advise about discovery and motion practice; 4.) Referrals to other services. This program may be able to help with non-criminal matters in federal court. The attorney will not go to court with the client.
