Serves survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence ages 16 and older and their dependent children. Anyone feeling unsafe in a relationship can call or chat using the confidential hotline, operated by trained, compassionate staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information and support. Services provided include confidential domestic violence shelter, supportive counseling, legal and court advocacy, assistance obtaining orders of protection, safety planning, parenting after violence service, education and support groups, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing. This series uses a trauma-informed care model in a group setting to cover parenting issues and symptomology related to custody, separation/divorce, co-parenting, parallel parenting, foster care placements, etc. Also provides community trainings to inform and educate Western New Yorkers to recognize the signs of domestic violence and to better understand different forms of abuse.
