A program from the Mental Health Association of Westchester which provides assistance in safety planning, calming victims in crisis, explaining court processes, provide emotional support, accompany clients to court, discuss options which may be available, and connect victims to shelters, medical services, counseling, financial assistance, legal services, and compensation/replacement services.

Can provide services for male victims of domestic violence and their children. Collect calls accepted. * Provides advocacy for out-of-county emergency shelter support. * Offers support groups for victims of domestic violence. * Offers Court Advocacy: Court accompaniment with on-site advocate at family court. Help with securing orders of protection. Legal representation. * Personal advocacy to obtain needed services. * Emotional and Transitional Support Services. Information and counseling and support services. * Offers the Domestic Violence Prevention Education Program. For preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and college students, community youth programs, parents, and businesses. * Provides transportation by police or some other form may be provided as appropriate. * Provides a hotline for Jewish women in domestic violence situations (Sara Line).

Presides over all county court cases

Provides long-and short-term crisis intervention, including emergency relocation information, counseling, and referrals for legal, health, and social services. Serves as interpreters in shelters, assists parents with finding childcare, and provides parenting skills workshops. Offers a women's support group for women who have been abused.

Provides law enforcement for the residents of Chenango County. Residents in Chenango County can dispose of medications in a secure prescription medication drop-off box at the Sheriff's office Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. NOT for needles or syringes.

The Village of Hillburn court provides court related information and assistance.

Wesley Hills Village Court adjudicates civil and criminal cases, vehicle and traffic offenses, landlord-tenant cases, and small claims. Handles all violations of Village Code.

Responsible for the service and enforcement of orders of protection throughout Suffolk County. They also arrest individuals charged with violating orders of protection and those with family offense related warrants. The Unit provides victims with a safe refuge by removing batterers from the home, seizing weapons and executing arrest warrants against the perpetrators of domestic violence. The Unit works closely with various domestic violence agencies both on the private and county level to offer or assist victims of domestic violence. Call for more detailed information.

Provides the courts to deal with civil, supreme, family and surrogate issues in the county.

Offers a 24 hour hotline for individuals who are survivors of domestic violence. Also provides a safe, secure emergency shelter for victims and their children. Assistance is available with obtaining orders of protection with family court including accompaniment to court, appointments and other supportive services. Provides personalized safety plans, educational support groups, and domestic violence counseling. Services are available to men, women and children. Donations of new clothing are accepted; new socks underwear and bras, are most needed, as well as pajamas, sweatpants/yoga pants, t-shirts and sweatshirts of all sizes, children's sizes to XXXL adult.
