Licensed Homecare Services provides intermittent skilled nursing, dietitian and social work home visits primarily to families, parents and children. Home visits focus on parent education related to child growth and development, antepartum and postpartum care of mother and baby, and assessment of family needs for referrals to other community services. This is the Central intake point for all maternal and pediatric home visiting services within Schenectady County.

Offers an array of Public Clinics and Services to Genesee County residents including Childhood and Adult Immunizations, Tuberculosis Screening and Treatment, confidential Sexually Transmitted Disease screening, and anonymous, confidential AIDS/HIV counseling and testing. Village services

Provides home visits by a registered professional nurse to high risk pregnant women, new moms and infants, and children at risk for health and social problems. Visits can include either preventive services or skilled care that otherwise would have to be provided in a physician's office, hospital, or clinic.

Provides home visits to pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children to provide skilled nursing assessments, health education, support services, and referrals to community resources.

Family Assessment and Referral Services provides a free, voluntary home visiting program to support pregnant or newly parenting families. A support worker provides a home visit to families to identify strengths and need for referrals. An assessment interview determines if the program is a good fit for the family. Ongoing support is provided for the family including parenting education, child development, community referrals, and life skills.

Provides education and clinical services directed toward the promotion of healthy lifestyles and prevention of illness or injury. Services provided in the clinic, classroom, unit, and other community locations.

Schoharie County Department of Health Nursing Division combines nursing and public health principles to focus on improving the health of our community as a whole. Promoting healthy lifestyle choices in the home, in the workplace and in the community.

Provides home visits by a registered nurse to prenatal women, newborns, and postpartum or breastfeeding women and their families to help answer questions and provide resources.

Provides home health care and rehabilitation services as prescribed by a physician. This includes physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy as well as case management/care coordination, infusion therapy, wound care management, diabetes counseling, and medication management. All services are provided to promote independent living.
