Designed to provide a model response program to civilians within their community. The presentation provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. This presentation is designed for any public or private building personnel, to educate them on how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation. This 2-hour program provides practical lessons on how to save lives. This program is available for all congregations, schools, offices, and businesses in the 5 East End towns of Suffolk County. Participates in all phases of emergency management including hurricane preparedness, hazardous materials mitigation, and any and all natural or man-made disasters that affect the town. It is part of FEMA Hurricane Preparedness Program, and in times of emergency, fully integrates with federal, state and county agencies in providing disaster relief, emergency evacuation and housing and transportation for dislocated residents.

Provides information on how to deal with and recover from natural emergencies such as hurricanes. Those requiring special medical assistance during a storm should notify East Hampton Town's Department of Human Services at 324-4947. Maintains and continually updates a comprehensive disaster plan which ensures the safeguarding of all Islip residents during natural and manmade disasters. Also stays in constant communication with other local, state and federal emergency management agencies. Responsible for septic systems, inspections and permit issuance, drinking water testing, public health hazards and nuisances, clean indoor air enforcement, onsite wastewater treatment system regulation, rabies investigations and vaccinations, insect control, West Nile Virus surveillance. Rabies vaccinations: Conducts free rabies vaccination clinics for dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets in several locations across Cattaraugus County. All Cattaraugus County residents are eligible for these free vaccinations. Notices will be posted on the Cattaraugus County website, through radio, newspaper ads, fliers on community boards around the County.
