Case managers provide a comprehensive in-home assessment to determine the client's needs and link them with the appropriate community services, programs and entitlements that help them age safely in their homes. New York State and Nassau County funding may provide up to 20 hours of aide assistance weekly. Chore workers can provide a few hours of light housekeeping and shopping for those who do not require hands on care.

Open Doors also works closely with the Olmstead Housing Subsidy (OHS) Program, which provides housing assistance, furniture, and household goods to those who qualify.
