Administers Social Security Trust Fund to provide retirement, disability or death benefits to insured workers or their dependents/survivors medicare for aged 65 and over Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the needy over 65, blind or disabled. The Dutchess County Office for the Aging offers a wide variety of services to meet the nutritional needs of persons 60 years and older. Services include congregate meals at OFA Friendship Centers, Home Delivered Meals for homebound older adults, nutrition education and counseling, picnics during the summer, and year-round health promotion events.

The Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance program (HIICAP) is your source for free, current, and impartial information, counseling and advocacy services concerning health care coverage for seniors. Through our hotline and our volunteer counselors, we can provide you or family members with Medicare information on all aspects of health insurance including Medicare Parts A, B, C and D and EPIC.
