Along with housing, parenting and life skills classes, job training and other counseling is provided in order to prepare them to have a better chance of success once they are on their own. Supports homeless pregnant and/or parenting young people between the ages of 16 and 26, and occasionally their dependent children, based on application and need. Housing and services are provided for up to 18 months. The program offers an intensive array of services to meet the short and longer-term needs of pregnant and parenting women. Program goals are to educate young people about parenting skills as well as child development, family budgeting, education, health and nutrition, and other skills to promote their long-term economic independence and ensure the well-being of their children.

Good Counsel Homes provides temporary shelter for homeless pregnant women. Available services include educational opportunities, preparation for the GED examination, medical and psychological support, career training, on-site counseling, and a full range of Life Skill courses taught in the homes.
