Provides seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccines, along with information and public awareness of the flu, how to prevent it, and what to do immediately if anyone comes in contact with someone with symptoms of the flu. The Seasonal Flu shot also includes the H1N1 strain. Please Note: Children under 18, pregnant women, or adults with chronic medical conditions should receive the vaccine from their primary doctors or obtain a prescription for the vaccines.

The Independent Consumer Advocacy Network (ICAN) is an independent, conflict-free entity providing Individuals free assistance in accessing care, filing grievances, appealing adverse decisions, and understanding and exercising rights and responsibilities. There are 60 physical locations throughout NYS for in-person assistance, a call center (1-844-614-8800) for the entire state, and a website icannys.org. ICAN currently serves MLTC plan enrollees and mainstream Medicaid managed care enrollees who receive long term care. Call for detailed information.

Victims should report to emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, Stony Brook Hospital in Stony Brook, Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, or to local police station and request sexual assault nurse examiner. Does not require police involvement.
