Job training program that focuses on one of the many causes of hunger, unemployment. Each quarter, up to 12 individuals spend 12 weeks training in the warehouse, receiving certifications, and taking life skills classes. Many program participants find employment afterwards.

Onsite in JM Murray's manufacturing warehouse, we assist with developing long-term vocational goals that align with an individual's unique skills, strengths and interests.Community-based Prevocational TrainingOur community-based program matches individuals with local businesses to explore the world of work. Participants are assessed, trained and accompanied by JM staff.Employment ConnectionOur full-service agency provides employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. We assist with job exploration, readiness training and ongoing employment support for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.ACE (Assisted Competitive Employment)Program participants 18 years or older with a mental health diagnosis, receive vocational rehabilitation and mental health supports to obtain and sustain integrated competitive employment. Through group and individual activities including: goal setting, career exploration and volunteer experiences, we help participants improve their self-confidence, stamina, skills and dependability in a supportive environment.Transitional Employment Placement (TEP)Program participants 18 years or older with a mental health diagnosis explore a variety of employment opportunities through short-term placements and volunteering to strengthen skills with the goal of achieving assisted or unassisted competitive employment in the field of their choice.

Comprehensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment
A collaborative program that provides education or training to recipients of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), to help them get back on their feet. Some of the services include: one week pre-employment training workshop, job skills and readiness assessment, job search training, job development, placement assistance, and post-placement follow-up.
Seeks to promote job searches, job referrals, and supportive services to divert applicants from the need of ongoing cash assistance. Provides an intensive assessment to help identify potential barriers to self-sufficiency and assist families to overcome these barriers, job readiness training and other employment-related services such as resume writing, interviewing skills and techniques, and supportive services to assist in maintaining/retaining employment. If cost effective, employment-related supportive services such as car repairs or insurance, transportation assistance, work clothes, etc. can be approved by DSS on a case-by-case basis.
