Provides a food pantry for individuals in need that reside in Jefferson County. Clients are offered a 10 day supply of food. Offers formula, instant meals for individuals with limited means, dog and cat food when available.

* Provides a municipal animal resource center for at-risk animals that are homeless, injured, or pose imminent public safety concerns within the Rochester City limits.* Provides lost and found pet reunification and pet rehoming services. * Addresses city ordinances regarding companion animals with information sharing, supportive services, and enforcement.* Offers free pet services including pet food and supplies, vaccinations, identification tags, microchips, spay and neuter surgeries, wellness exams, and community veterinary care. All adopted animals receive a certificate for one free veterinary examination.* Provides temporary housing via foster homes for pets of households in crisis. * Operates an emergency food pantry. After phone interview, eligible individuals may visit the pantry to select their food. Delivery is available for those who are ill or who lack transportation. Food available includes a variety of canned and shelf staple foods, cereal, fresh eggs, frozen meat, and fresh fruit and vegetables as well as pet food. Can also offer diapers and baby formula to recipients of emergency food. Thanksgiving food gift cards during holiday season for clients only.

* Provides a food pantry to veterans. Food pantry with fresh meat and produce (when available). Casual and professional clothing. Essential items. Pet food. Baby formula.

Provides pet food to pet owners in need. Supply and quantities vary but may include dog, cat, puppy, and kitten food as well as cat litter and treats. Food is intended for periodic assistance only. Partners with the Salvation Army Food Bank in Jamestown, making clients of the Food Bank eligible to receive pet food once a month as part of their regular food assistance, as available.

Offers support services to community members in financial crisis, including provision of food, pet food, clothing, household items, medical equipment exchange, limited prescription assistance, and medical transportation assistance. Other services include a monthly Mobile Food Pantry (open to anyone), budgeting assistance/financial education, and more. Will work to meet other needs where support is not available in the community. Provides backpacks filled with school supplies each year to low income children, K-6th grade, while supplies last. Offers a diverse range of community services for people suffering from hunger or food insecurity. It provides emergency food, clothing, personal care items and household items, including those for pets. Outreach specialists are available for employment searches, as well. Brings together all available resources for the benefit of the hungry and food insecure on Long Island and, to the best of our ability, provides for the humanitarian needs of our community. Our goals are to improve food security for families, sponsor programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency, and educate the general public about the causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island. Pets Alive rescues and rehabilitates animals who have been victims of neglect or abuse by providing shelter. Donations accepted, volunteers needed. Adoptions are also offered.
