Other services include a monthly Mobile Food Pantry (open to anyone), budgeting assistance/financial education, and more. Will work to meet other needs where support is not available in the community. Provides backpacks filled with school supplies each year to low income children, K-6th grade, while supplies last. Provides a food pantry for Veterans, the Military and their families, and families in need. LI Cares hosts Military Appreciation Tuesdays in Huntington Station, Lindenhurst, and Freeport which gives veterans and their families access to food, personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies. Also veterans are provided with information and resources pertaining to veteran special benefits. LI Cares also operates a Mobile Pantry which delivers nutritious groceries to homebound, disabled veterans unable to access their local pantries.

Animal adoptions at the Chenango SPCA include vaccinations and de-worming (age appropriate), Feline Leukemia test for cats, Flea Preventative Treatment, a free bag of Hills Science Diet Food (dogs/cats only), 30-day free pet health insurance (some conditions required), a free pet health exam from a participating veterinarian, micro-chipped and a pet ID tag.
