Provides Thanksgiving turkey baskets (no longer available for 2025), Christmas meal baskets (sign ups end November 21st, 2025), and Christmas toys during the holiday season for low-income residents. Gifts will be included with baskets for eligible families with children.

Provides hospitals and child-care facilities with therapeutic and recreational equipment, supports families with financial assistance to defray medical expenses, offers sick and needy children toys through the holiday season. Also fulfills patients wish lists throughout the year and assists sick and needy children in any capacity possible.

Accepts referrals from local non-profits for families who need help with holiday gifts, and matches these referrals with volunteers who will purchase gifts for the family. This program is a collaboration between Interfaith Caregivers and the Salvation Army of Olean, and clients can contact either organization to be served.

Offers holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving and December holiday gift distribution for low-income families. Also accepts donations of holiday foods and new gift or toys for children under 18 years. . They will need to become registered clients in order to access the program. Distribution for toys occurs concurrently with Thanksgiving Program, November 25th and November 26th.

Christmas Basket Sign-Up Information for 2023:

Provides assistance to families by helping them find presents for their children for the holiday season.

Eligibility requirements:
Any individuals and families that meet or fall below 150% of current Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Required Documentation:

• Photo ID for ALL adults in the house
• Birth certificates for ALL children
• Proof if Income for One Month
• Proof of Address
• Proof of Custody/Guardianship (if applicable)

Applicants must have all of the documents listed above or they will not be seen and will be asked to return during another sign-up time.
There will not be any other dates to apply after those listed above. Anyone seeking assistance after November 15th will be referred to another agency.

Interested individuals and families can call 518-725-4119 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 1 PM - 3 PM or Friday, 10 AM - 12 Noon.

Collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys to nonprofit organizations for the client families they serve in which the campaign is conducted. The program is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve.Individuals families please contact Suffolk County Social Services. Partners with them to distribute toys to the individual families in need. There is NO requirements to be on any other subsistence program.

As a Parish Outreach Center, provides a variety of concrete emergency services such as food, clothing, limited financial aid or holiday assistance, to community members living within parish boundaries. Check with parish coordinator for details.

Provides a party to ensure each city youth receives a gift.
