Provides total case management including contacting patient's physician, arranging for equipment needs and working closely with family to assure the best care for every patient.

Independent Living provides case management services and rental subsidies for permanent housing for qualified individuals with disabilities in Orange County, New York, funded by NYS Office of Mental Health and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

If you have been diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer and have already received our "Lend a Helping Hand Grant" and are currently under a physician’s care, you are eligible additional grant of up to $2,500, which may be used for such services as house cleaning, meal preparation, transportation expenses, or just a day of relaxation at a local spa.

Offers a variety of home care services to individuals who are frail, disabled, or recovering from an illness/injury from basic daily needs to more specialized medical treatments, including medication management. Also provides private duty assistance for hospitalizations or nursing homes, companion services for doctor's appointments or special events. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is a Federally funded program that assists eligible households in meeting their home energy needs. If eligible, you may receive one regular HEAP benefit per program year and could also be eligible for emergency HEAP benefits if you are in danger of running out of fuel or having your utility service shut off. The 2024-2025 Regular HEAP benefit opened on November 1, 2024. The 2024-2025 First and Second Emergency is scheduled to open January 2, 2025. The 2024-2025 Heating Equipment Repair and Replacement benefit opened on October 1, 2024. The 2024-2025 HEAP Clean and Tune benefit opened on October 1, 2024. The 2024-2025 Cooling Assistance Benefit is schedule to open on April 15, 2025.
